Academic Flexibility: I haven't had any problems getting to classes, because I live in the town where the college is located. I'm a first-time college student, so I didn't have to transfer any credits. I may only have such a great experience because I don't commute and I worked at the college, so work was scheduled around classes. Still, many teachers have a policy that if a student misses class more than three times, points will be deducted from their grade. That can be a problem for some students.

Facilities: NCMC is a very small school, so there isn't much to gush about. The campus has some older buildings that are very beautiful, and some newer additions that are more technology oriented. There is tutoring available to all students, and a special program for students with financial needs so they can get help. There is a community center that is free for college students, which has exercise equipment and hosts basketball games.

Student Body: There isn't much ethnic diversity at NCMC. Its mostly Caucasians, but to give the college some credit, it is in northern Missouri. There is a sizable amount of African-American students, but not much else. The campus is fairly conservative, which is great, and Christianity is the major religion. Still, for a small-town campus people are very accepting of others.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't know much about tuition because I have an A+ scholarship that pays for my schooling. This also gives me little reason to interact with the financial aid office. From what I've seen, though, the employees are very helpful, especially when students have questions about the FAFSA.

Overall Experience: Due to NCMC being in a town of about 6,000 people, the small-town atmosphere is very personable. Everyone knows each other, and that closeness makes it easy for students to find help when they need it. On the downside, there isn't a lot to do around town, but that really is more of a pro than a con when it comes to keeping students out of trouble.

Tuition & Financial Aid: School tuition where i live is not to bad, but however i do not think that anyone should have to pay for tuition, just for the classes you are taking. They do get grant money, and they make lots of money off of us students. It is really crazy how they think that students can just throw money at them when usually parents do not help you with the cost. They do not have to, but why is it for any college and fasfa they need to know your parents income.

Online Courses: Online Courses are the best thing ever invented. I can work in the comfort of my own home and when I like to! The professors are very detailed in explaining what needs to be done and what is expected from you in an online course. It is pleasant to know you can always send an email and have a reply from your instructor within 30 minutes if you have a question.

Academic Experience: I am just here at this college for General Education Credit's before transferring to a 4-year university to study Aviation. But for General Education it is nice because you have a variety of courses to choose from. They work load challenges you but it does not put you under too much stress. The facilities at NCMC are well accommodating to everyone, always nice and clean.

Academic Experience: My academic experiences at North Central Missouri College has really helped me learn to interact with others. The professors care about how you are performing. They will check in with you to make sure you understand. You always know you can find your instructor in their office after class to ask those questions you didn't want to in class and they are always very helpful when explaining things to you. Registering for classes is easy and mostly online but if you need help from the staff they are more than willing to walk you through the process! If you need extra help and your instructor is in class you can always head over to the ARC for extra tutoring.
