Off-Campus Housing: I have never lived off campus

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I wouldn't know what it's like since I have to live on campus, but Juniors and Seniors almost always live off campus.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home with my grandparents.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: large amount of places to live near campus

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The school doesn't allow first and second year students to live off campus, unless they are living with their parents. As far as the third and forth year students, you're on your own if you want to live off campus, the school doesn't assist with that. I've never lived off campus so I would know about the landlords, convenience, cost, availability, or safety.

North Central College is a commuter school. Most students are drawn from the local area and live with their parents. Compared to residents and commuters still living at home, students living in Naperville apartments are the minorities. This is partly due to the demographics of the school and because of the school's location.

Naperville may be a great area with tons of apartment options, but the area is also a higher-income area, meaning rents are usually out of most students' budgets. If students can connect and share an apartment with another, they can get a much better value than living on campus. However, they have to be willing to stay or at least pay for their unit year-round.
