Campus Strictness: You will suffer the consequences

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It is horrible, but they are nice to talk to.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I would have to rate this very well because they are strict when it comes to things like noise level, visitation, respects of others, illegal use of drugs, cleanliness, or anything. The Resident Assistants and the Graduate Hall Director means business when it comes to their jobs. You would expect them to be lenient because they are around our age, but they really are not. At least in my dorm they act like that. If we are not performing at a well level as females in my dorm we get things taken away. Sometimes it is a little overboard but I think that is what makes them more superior in the dorm. We have quiet hours so other residents get their work done. There are rules about loud music and usage of computers in the lab. We have rules basically everywhere in the dorm. We rarely have visitation, so if we want to talk to friends outside the hall, we have to go outside, go to their room, or meet up somewhere. They are so strict it makes you want to get your own place or apply for another dorm with less rules.

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: We are pretty much treated as adults with no rules

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: All campus dorms prohibits the used of alcohol, drug use, and noise violations. NC A&T wants to provide all students who live on campus a safe and welcoming environment. The RA's and Resident Directors often have mandatory dorm meetings where we they talk about using drugs and/or alcohol on campus will grant an immeditate dismissal off the university grounds. I urge all my peers in my dorm building to not take their education for granted because they want to drink or smoke. It is not worth it.

The University police department takes its job very seriously. They are licensed officers who carry weapons, and they have the right to arrest, cite, and report students in any situation. They are very protective of the students and staff. The police can be very helpful. They keep the campus and dormitories clean and free of drugs by performing random dorm sweeps in which they utilize a police dog to "sniff out" any drugs or drug-related paraphernalia. Although the NC A&T campus is known for is warm, jubilant atmosphere, the rules still taken very seriously. There are rules, regulations and procedures against drinking, drugs, weapons, physical altercations, and an array of other criminal activities. If these rules are broken, students could face a loss of on-campus housing privileges, possible arrest by the Greensboro Police Department, judicial hearings on campus and at the Guilford County Courthouse, and even worse, immediate suspension from the University. All crimes are not successfully solved and exhausted by the University police, but you can count on being disciplined if you break the rules.
