The athletic programs at North Carolina A&T are very exciting! The sports teams receive enthusiastic support from the fans and alumni who attend the games faithfully. The athletes are very dedicated to the athletics department and show their dedication during each game, and most importantly, in the classroom. A&T takes pride in grooming "scholar athletes," which are students who excel in the classroom first and in sports second. The football team has been steadily on the rise over the past couple of years, which has brought about an increase in fans from the Greensboro area. The men's and women's basketball games are very exciting and intense, which keeps the fans on the edge of their seats. Intramural sports are also very popular at North Carolina A&T. Students that participate in these sports are very competitive, and although these sports aren't recognized as the face of A&T athletics, the students still show the teams equal support. "A&T's Finest" is one of the best intramural football teams in the state, and they often travel throughout the United States to compete against other intramural teams. In Moore Gym, you can watch the intramural basketball teams go head to head, or even attend a volleyball game!
