3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Just went here to get my 2 year degree and generals done to transfer to a university. It was fine.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Most instructors were hit or miss for me. Unfortunately, to satisfy your transfer curriculum, you will have to take classes you have no interest in. I think that was the hard part for me.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Good school. Most instructors were hit or miss for me.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: There are a variety of courses to choose from. Many subjects

3 College Senior

Online Courses: It's convenient, but you just have to know how to manage your time. Most classes have weekly assignments

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Not the cheapest community college, but it's definitely better than 4 year university

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Nothing special. Computer lab can be full sometimes, but I haven't had a need to use it because I take online classes

College Senior

Campus Resources: I didn't get a chance to use the wireless internet at Normandale.

College Senior

Career Services: I've never used any career services at Normandale...

College Senior

Student Body: I only took online classes. There are some discussions, but there are no face to face conversation.

3 College Senior

Facilities: Online classes are convenient if you can manage your time wisely

College Senior

Career Services: I have never used these services at Normandale. I also assume they are available, but do not know much about them.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition here seems very reasonable. It is a minimal amount compared to others with similar classes and learning styles. I paid for school out of pocket this year, but in previous years, I feel as if Financial Aid was distributed well.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I AM NOT YET IN THE NURSING PROGRAM SO I CAN'T RATE IT YET

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: LOTS OF TUTORS READY TO HELP, BUT YOU HAVE TO CARVE OUT YOUR OWN WAY HERE

4 College Freshman

Career Services: IT IS FINE. THERE COULD BE MORE GREEN INNITIATIVE, MORE UP TO DATE TECHNOLOGY, OVERALL

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I loved my time at Normandale. I had a great social life on campus, mostly because I was involved with student groups and clubs. Since it's a smaller campus, it's easier to run into people you know and to get acquainted with new peers. It's a nice environment overall.

Online Courses: From the online classes I've taken, it seems you learn just as much as you would if you were sitting in the classroom. It's easy-to-use, and keeping track of your progress and assignments is not difficult. The organization of it all depends entirely on the professor as well, however. The only thing you would really miss out on is the peer-to-peer interactions. Usually, discussions on threads aren't all that interactive.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: It's really easy to work around your schedule; scheduling your classes around work and personal life is not difficult.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't qualify for any financial aid, so paying for school is pretty difficult. That's why I love Normandale; the education is of great quality, and all for a fraction of the cost at another university.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Most students go to Normandale to complete their generals and transfer to other colleges/universities for their majors. However, if I were to just stop at an Associates degree for Communications, I would not find as much internships and job opportunities made available as I would at 4-year college. The curriculum for an Associates Degree with an emphasis in Communications is not all the rigorous.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There are only a handful of professors at Normandale that are particularly passionate about their subjects. Curriculum at Normandale is not entirely rigorous, but that depends entirely on what classes you are taking. The science classes at Normandale are pretty difficult. Class registration is easy to figure out, but classes tend to get filled up quick.

Facilities: My social life on campus has been great. It's a lot easier to run into people you know and get acquainted with people on a regular basis since the campus is not that large. Most students gather at the Kopp Center, which was newly built and renovated. I saw a huge difference in my social life at Normandale after I joined student groups and clubs as well, which were not that hard to find. It's easy to get information on the student clubs available at school and to join. It would probably be better if the rest of the school was renovated to be just as lively as the Kopp Center.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Recently, the student body has become more diverse especially in regards to ethnicity.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Recently, the school has become more lively and more modern with the new Kopp Center on campus. Kopp is always bustling with students and have plenty of activities available to keep students entertained; there are pool tables, TVs available for recreational use (as well as Wii consoles), the Japanese Garden, student clubs, and more. There are a lot of computers available whether you're in Kopp, library, or computer lab. The athletic center is alright; it could be bigger and brighter. However, there are two studios on campus for recreational use and they're both fantastic; they're great in lighting, overall aesthetics, and in their sound system.
