Norco College Reviews
Rating 3.9 out of 5 389 reviews
My experience at Norco College was primarily positive and negative. Over my time at Norco, I spent time utilizing all of Norco’s provided associations on campus. I was part of the athletics department through participation in the college’s cross-country team. During my time participating in Norco’s cross country team I enjoyed the experiences I got to have traveling with my team to races across so far while being allowed to expand my physical capabilities. Clubs at Norco were similarly enjoyable as some clubs I participated in Active Minds and STEM had unique projects that improved student life. While at my time at Norco, I also ate a lot at the provided cafeteria where they served adequate food that was able to fuel my working spirit. The one aspect I believe the campus needs to improve on is its cafeteria where it could have a more diverse menu. In conclusion, I believe that Norco is a good community college that provides the necessities for a student hoping to transfer.
Norco College gave me the experience to grow in so many aspects as a student. Not only did I grow academically, but also professionally through various job opportunities, and as a leader through getting involved in student organizations. The Umoja program was very instrumental in providing me with these opportunities, and it shaped my outlook on college and life. The Umoja staff and the school staff at large was ever supportive, welcoming and loving. I appreciate my experience there, and i always reference it when people ask me about my college experience.
While I lack experience of what other college are like, I found the environment of Norco College to be comfortable and relatively peaceful due to there being less students than say a four year college. I was provided a majority of my needs for my classes aside from a select few books unique to courses which is reasonable. What I would like to see change is perhaps the online courses where interactions and efforts put in by professors into said courses was increased. One such professor I never received an email for weeks on a major project despite frequent emails sent.
