3 College Senior

Academics: I am in the Radiologic technologies program which is quite awesome because we actually get to work with patients. You get to know the job that you are trying to move forward into.

Guys & Girls: there are many different types of ethnicities that mingle easily

3 College Senior

Greek Life: The greek life is visible but not quite heavy hitting as in other places.

1 College Senior

Campus Dining: There is a very limited variety and the prices are absorbent.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: They have security and campus is not that large but vehicles are still vandalized

3 College Senior

Facilities: Students do not really have a great place to socialize

3 College Senior

Facilities: I wish that certain buildings were better well kept.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The small class and small community is nice if you like intimate relationships with fellow students and professors. You get to know your peers very well and there are an okay amount of on-campus activities to participate in, and there are lots of things to do in Wichita.

Health & Safety: Totally safe, rarely any incidents that occur in campus. Everybody is friendly and has everyones back.

4 College Senior

Diversity: Pretty diverse, everyone from different backgrounds.

5 College Senior

Campus Strictness: The school is flexible and the professors are incredible and helpful.

3 College Senior

Weather: It gets hot but then it gets cold the next day. The temperatures are over bearing and sometimes you do not know how the next day will feel. However, when the days are nice it is nice!

3 College Junior

Scholarships: couldn't get athletic and school scholarships together

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: There has not been one time when I didn't feel unsafe walking on campus at Newman. It's small enough to see from one side to the other and there is also security driving around.

Nightlife: There are many options for 18+ students that are still fun to go too without drinking.

4 College Senior

Academics: The social work program is very intense. It is very clinical based and they push the understanding of theories. The course work can seem like a lot but budgeting your time helps. Once a class is complete you really feel like you learned something. You can pick and even create your own internships, and the staff are all very understanding and great teachers.

Local Atmosphere: Colorado Springs is an amazing and secenic place. Local attractions vary from nature trails and Pikes Peak to sporting events, and historic Old Colorado City. Colorado is very culturly rich, having five military bases close by only increase the diversity of the area.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: If you are under 21, you will have to risk getting caught drinking at parties that get busted. From what I see here in Wichita, you need to be 21 to have a fun nightlife. Cops are strict but I feel are easier going when a party of 21+ year old students get busted. The good thing about NU is if you get caught underage drinking on campus, they don't get the police involved. The school likes to discipline their students and it is better for students to take the punishments from schools than from law enforcements.

5 College Junior

Academics: Here at NU you are either working for 1 of 5 things. Science, nursing, education, business, or art degrees are the big players on this campus. For other degrees you are better off going to Wichita State University.

4 College Junior

Academics: I love the education program here at NU. I feel challenged and have a great team of professors that guide me to what I want to be. I have only had one class that I felt was pointless but then again that was a general ed course.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have never really felt unsafe here at NU. The only real thing that concerns me is the response time of calls to school security and the off campus crime that sometimes leaks its way onto campus. The school is beautiful but better lighting in certain areas would be awesome. As for the health services, there are none!

5 College Freshman

Weather: The days we had about 15 inches of snow the school let us out for 5 days in a row to make sure everything was cleared.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Most people that come to Newman are Christian because we are a Catholic university but there are a few Muslims. Newman does a lot of out reaching to other countries for athletes. I know people at Newman who are gay and they aren't discriminated. There's a nice mix of ethnic backgrounds.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The good thing about Newman is they award you a scholarship even if you haven't applied there. But they don't always tell you about all of the scholarships available to you. They messed up some of my aid this year and it was a bit of a hassle.

3 College Junior

Weather: Its Kansas we never know what kind of weather we will get at any given time, but hey keeps things interesting. It could be 20 one day, tomorrow 65. It doesn't really affect my campus experience though because its mostly just windy not anything to severe and your experiences are what you make them.
