Drug Safety: The staff here enforces the rules about drinking and drugs, but some people get away with it. Its much easier to get away with things when you're off campus because RAs are very strict.

Local Atmosphere: There is a small downtown area about a mile away from school that has little shops and restaurants but other than that there isn't much to do. On the weekends theres always a party so that fills the void of going out and doing stuff.

Transportation: There is no public transportation, let alone school transportation. The town is only 2,000 people not including the college, the town is also very poor so it doesn't make sense to have transportation. With the campus only being 1,000 students, transportation is unneeded. Usually people just walk to downtown or borrow someone's car.

Nightlife: There are two bars in town that are awesome, on Wednesdays Bar III has trivia night. The other bar, Pour Richards, is always crowded on the weekends. They are both a lot of fun, but have very different crowds, the greeks tend to go to Pour Richards and everyone else goes to Bar III.

Diversity: There are only a handful of gay/lesbian people on campus, but we do have a S.A.F.E. club here on campus that is definitely having an impact on the way gays and lesbians are treated here. Its the South, so that means people around here are a little less accepting than people from the west would be. Racial diversity is not really applicable, we do have international students but for the most part the campus is African American, Caucasian, and Hispanic.

Athletics: We are DII, so that means funding and extra money is few and far between. If you aren't on the football team then don't expect any kind of special treatment. Basketball is a big sport here, considering how well they do in their seasons. The most fan support is at football games during the fall, everyone comes out for those. School spirit is minimal but its improving.

Guys & Girls: Most greeks on campus are very friendly and sociable. There are of course cliques like any other school, the athletes (about 70% of the school), the math/science kids, the sororities and frats, and the theater/music kids. Most people dress extremely southern, I mean if you don't have something monogrammed then expect to own something with one by the end of the year. Even guys have monograms on their jackets and other articles of clothing. Like I said, most of the school population is made up of athletes who all think they deserve more money for their program, myself included. A lot of girls here are looking for a relationship and others are in a long term relationship.

Transportation: there is no campus transportation but having a car is nice if you want to get off campus

Greek Life: Stay out of the limelight for the most part. Throw all the parties on campus but they are not stuck up

4 College Freshman

Majors: Getting into your program is easy and the advisers make sure you take the right classes

4 College Freshman

Majors: The business professors are very knowledgeable and will go out of their way to help you in any way possible

Campus Housing: The dorms are all within a 2 minute walk to every class on campus

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: most houses are within walking distance to campus

Scholarships: Easy and well run. No problems at all

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Pretty lenient as long as you are safe.

Local Atmosphere: Small friendly town in the backwoods. Charming

Off-Campus Dining: Average for a small town. A few options, mostly fast food

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: For a small school, the nightlife is great.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The wireless network is extremely slow at times and the school website is often down. There is wireless access almost everywhere on campus.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The academics are one of the best things about the school.

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is pretty average, and gets worse late at night because this is a small town and many places close earlier than normal.
