Computers are an absolute necessity at NJIT. Students must have their own laptop, desktop, or some other computer device. There are discounts students can receive through NJIT partnerships; plus, students are able to download various software through NJIT's website.

There are also various computer labs available for student use. These computers are all linked to nearby printers, allowing students to print out assignments. The labs are also spaced in a manner that allows students to work on group assignments. These labs can sometimes be very crowded, so it is important to go to one early if printing needs to be done. Tech support is extraordinary. Given the nature of this school, it is important that the students have working computers. Generally, the tech team is quick to respond and very skilled.
