3 College Senior

Facilities: We have an absolutely incredible printmaking dept. with a main studio consisting of 2 litho presses (one large & one small) and two etching presses (one large & one small). We have five vacuum tables in the silkscreen area and an acid room for etching. We have a yellow light room and two exposure units for photographic processes, and a second, smaller studio with 4 smaller etching presses. We also have an acorn press from the mid 19th century.

We have several state of the art computer labs and a really great library with an excellent special collections section that you can visit by appointment.

Though IT is a bit slow to fix things.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The school has a student center that is mediocre. The library is small but as students we can check out books from the Manchester Public Library which is an amazing facility. We have no athletic center since we have no sports teams. Students who live in the YMCA dorms can use the YMCA for free and the rest of the student body gets a discount but it is still quite expensive. We do not have many on campus events or traditions. There are very little campus activities besides gallery openings and lectures from visiting artists.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: We do not have an athletics facility. The student center, one year old, is in an odd state; many clubs meet there and it is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing but the small cafe part was ripped out after a few months becasue there wasn't enough traffic, leaving an awkward counter with a vending machine behind it instead of appliances. There is a large television with cable and a comfy sofa and a pool table. A Wii is hooked up but there are only two games.
The Library is fabulous and quite the collection, also set up with numerous computers and a printer and scanner/copier.
The Lowell building, classes on the first two floors and dorms the next 4, is the Green building and second newest dormitory. All dorm buildings have a lounge, Lowell has one on the 2nd(with microwave, tables, chairs, and vending machines) and 6th floor (has a fully functional kitchen, tv, couches and armchairs). Lowell has a 24 hour studio which is BRILLIANT.
French Building has an auditorium/ballroom which is used for the larger events such as the masquerade, open houses, department meetings and lectures. Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL building.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Most of the building are repurposed for classes making high victorian ceilings and marble tiles a staple in the majority of building. Amherst street building has a nice gallery and school store with cheap prices for art supplies.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: NHIA is a very good at incorporating contemporary art into the minds of each student. The classes are small enough for well thought out critiques and the building are all well maintained. I love the new dorm Plaza 2 that they have built and the corridors are well designed. Its quite cold in new hampshire and they keep us all nice a warm during these chilly times. My teachers are all very nice and have an idea of what they're teaching, making me feel at ease about any problems I have. Though there is a substantial amount of females to males making the campus kind of a sisterhood.
