3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Most of the time it is hard to get in trouble, but there are still quite a few people that do depending on what dorm you're in and what kind of PA or RA you have.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The English major is rather small, which has it's pros and cons. The faculty usually genuinely care about you and your grades since classes are small. The work load depends on the class and the professor. There seems to be multiple options in terms of internships and opportunities for jobs. Since there is not a journalism minor, most people will major in English and then minor or take classes in journalism. There is also a school newspaper that counts for credit if you are on staff.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I haven't had an internship or looked much into them yet. I hope to have some outside experience with specifically what I am interested in whether it's an internship or a job while I'm in school.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Not the best in athletics, but overall most people participate in sports or intramurals

Diversity: Quite a few international students. A lot of people from Nebraska, but some from other states.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Depends on where you live. The school is trying to renovate when they can, so there are some dorms nicer than others but they are overpriced and it's really hard to live off campus until you're a senior.

Drug Safety: Just like almost any other college you're going to find people who drink a lot and do drugs but some people don't take part all the time

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: It depends on the time of year. It's really good sometimes and then some weekends everyone seems to go home so there isn't much going on every weekend.

Weather: It has it's ups and downs, but could be worse. Sometimes it's really nice towards the end of spring and beginning of summer

3 College Junior

Athletics: Academics are still the most important.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I lived in the oldest dorm on campus the first year and lived in a really nice "apartment " the second year. It was comfortable and fun.

3 College Junior

Parking: Hasn't really been an issue for me. I park during the week and leave on weekends to go shopping or a movie or whatever and can always find a spot when I get back.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not affiliated with the Greeks. I don't think they are different, better or worse than the non-Greek students. We all live in the same world so different strokes!

3 College Junior

Weather: seasons change no matter where you go to school. It is a part of life so deal with it!

3 College Junior

Transportation: If you are traveling by air, transportation is pretty convenient. If you have to take the train, the hours are awful and I don't know about the bus as I have never used that mode of transportation.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: There is always something to do if you look for it. The night life varies with the age of the student.

Guys & Girls: I really am not sure how to answer this question. How do you give an accurate description of an entire group of people. We are just average college students with new and different interest, trying to find out who we are are what we are going to do with the rest of our lives.

Campus Strictness: I believe that NWU is very fair about their policies. It isn't a problem unless you break the rules.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a variety of food places close to campus. We have fast food or sit down dining. There is anything from pancakes to crab legs.

4 College Junior

Majors: My advisers and professors have been great. As I am nearing the end of my college career at NWU, I wish that I had been more outgoing in the beginning and really gotten involved with all that the faculty has to offer. I think that I will continue on to earn a Master's degree depending on job availability. I began with a Biology major but switched to Communications and Psychology because I was not sure what I wanted to do with a degree in Biology. I love, love, love my communication classes and the professors!

4 College Junior

Majors: I did not experience any difficulty switching majors!

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I suppose if you stood around and watched you might see more of what is going on. However, because you would have to look, the problem must not be too bad.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Lincoln Nebraska is a city with a small town atmosphere largely I suppose because there are so many students who decide to make Lincoln their home after graduation. The entertainment is what it is in most cities and the shopping would compare to other cities the size of Lincoln.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Nebraska Wesleyan encourages it's students to live on campus and the housing they provide is very nice. If you want to live off campus you must obtain permission from the college. Economics comes into play on some decisions to live off campus. They only reason that I could see for moving off is to be able to split housing costs with others to cheapen the cost of college.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: Because I have had the need for financial aid, I have come to know several of the people in the financial aid office. They have ALWAYS be helpful and never made me feel uncomfortable. I am very impressed with the department!
