3 College Junior

Athletics: Academics are still the most important.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I lived in the oldest dorm on campus the first year and lived in a really nice "apartment " the second year. It was comfortable and fun.

3 College Junior

Parking: Hasn't really been an issue for me. I park during the week and leave on weekends to go shopping or a movie or whatever and can always find a spot when I get back.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not affiliated with the Greeks. I don't think they are different, better or worse than the non-Greek students. We all live in the same world so different strokes!

3 College Junior

Weather: seasons change no matter where you go to school. It is a part of life so deal with it!

3 College Junior

Transportation: If you are traveling by air, transportation is pretty convenient. If you have to take the train, the hours are awful and I don't know about the bus as I have never used that mode of transportation.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: There is always something to do if you look for it. The night life varies with the age of the student.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: I really am not sure how to answer this question. How do you give an accurate description of an entire group of people. We are just average college students with new and different interest, trying to find out who we are are what we are going to do with the rest of our lives.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I believe that NWU is very fair about their policies. It isn't a problem unless you break the rules.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a variety of food places close to campus. We have fast food or sit down dining. There is anything from pancakes to crab legs.

4 College Junior

Majors: My advisers and professors have been great. As I am nearing the end of my college career at NWU, I wish that I had been more outgoing in the beginning and really gotten involved with all that the faculty has to offer. I think that I will continue on to earn a Master's degree depending on job availability. I began with a Biology major but switched to Communications and Psychology because I was not sure what I wanted to do with a degree in Biology. I love, love, love my communication classes and the professors!

4 College Junior

Majors: I did not experience any difficulty switching majors!

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I suppose if you stood around and watched you might see more of what is going on. However, because you would have to look, the problem must not be too bad.

Local Atmosphere: Lincoln Nebraska is a city with a small town atmosphere largely I suppose because there are so many students who decide to make Lincoln their home after graduation. The entertainment is what it is in most cities and the shopping would compare to other cities the size of Lincoln.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Nebraska Wesleyan encourages it's students to live on campus and the housing they provide is very nice. If you want to live off campus you must obtain permission from the college. Economics comes into play on some decisions to live off campus. They only reason that I could see for moving off is to be able to split housing costs with others to cheapen the cost of college.

Scholarships: Because I have had the need for financial aid, I have come to know several of the people in the financial aid office. They have ALWAYS be helpful and never made me feel uncomfortable. I am very impressed with the department!

Diversity: Nebraska Wesleyan University is a small "melting pot" on its own. Per capita, the ethnic diversity is comparable to the Nebraska population. It is a friendly campus and students and organizations do what they can to help make the campus and Nebraska a good experience for our exchange students. It does not seem to me that our campus is particularly politically saturated. Although we are a Methodist college, religion is not pushed on to the students. I suppose there is some diversity regarding economic and sexual orientation but again, I have not noticed that it is an issue.

5 College Junior

Academics: I haven't had a professor yet that I had trouble communicating with. They are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

5 College Senior

Weather: This is an awesome program. The Omaha Advantage Program is the best!!!

3 College Junior

Diversity: Keeping in mind that NWU is a private school and the population is that of a small school I would say that we are pretty much in line with other schools. It really doesn't matter if it is a school or a community, there is a certain amount of diversity, be it color, income, politics or religion but I don't believe any of it is an issue on campus.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I will never regret choosing NWU as my school. It has been everything I hoped it would be.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I know that there has to rules because if there weren't it would be mayhem so all in all I think Wesleyan handles the policies pretty well.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Hello! I am a college student so unless Mom and Dad come to town, I don't dine out much. I have never been offered a student discount, unless you are looking for something specific you don't have to drive far, there are a number of ethnic restaurants and a few new places to check out. Mostly dining out consists of the food court at the mall!

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I can't speak for other schools, but I am pretty sure Wesleyan is comparable to other private colleges. There really isn't peer pressure that I have noticed and yes, there are parties but policy is enforced so they do not get out of control.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I chose not to join the Greek Life after some consideration although I do have friends that did join and they are very happy with their decision.
