3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am very happy with my school choice so far. Food could be better, but I will survive. As previously said, the college needs to be more willing to work with students who need to live off campus.

Weather: Its Rochester New York. There can be snow in April, or it can be sunny and 80 in March. You never know what mother nature will throw our way.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are plenty of apartment complexes, and houses for rent in the surrounding area. The college needs to be more willing to let students live off campus and commute, as it is very expensive to live on campus.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: I haven't been to many sporting events, but school spirit and support of all sports teams seem to be high.

3 College Freshman

Parking: There are plenty of parking spots available. They fill up quickly during the day when commuters show up for classes.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Very close to downtown Rochester, where there are plenty of bars and clubs. Something for everyone to do.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: I have my own car to transport myself where I need to be, therefore I do not have a quality rating for transportation convenience or availability.

3 College Freshman

Majors: My major is wonderful! The staff are all so friendly and willing to work with you. They are there for you when you need them, and are easy to get along with.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I am loving the social work program at Nazareth. Everyone is so friendly, and the courses that are offered keep me interested.

2 College Freshman

Computers: Recently, the wifi on campus has not been of good quality. Each time tech support sends an email saying that it will be being fixed it seems to either get worse or stay the same.

Drug Safety: Unfortunately, students will do what they have to in order to have their alcohol or their marijuana if they use it, regardless of age. Those who do participate in those activities have never pressured me into using.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It is not the strictest campus that I have seen around the area, but they are strict about the policies that they have in place.

Greek Life: We do not have a greek life available at Nazareth College.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: I enjoy my school's social make up. I think it is a great sample of the locale.

Campus Strictness: In the social work program, the policies are very strict. I cannot give a true representation of the campus strictness for this.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I find the drug and alcohol visibility to be high. As part of a greek organization, I hold myself to a higher standard and remove myself from any group activities that may interfere with my organization's positive image.

Nightlife: There are party events on campus that can be fun and there are places to go for parties as well. Downtown has clubs that are for 18 and up. The houses such as the hockey, basketball, and lacrosse houses are popular.

Weather: Weather here is not that bad. It doesn't rain or snow that much. There are times where it can get bad in the winter but it is not that bad. It especially helps that the campus has a tunnel system. Most of the buildings are connected by tunnels so student don't have to brave the cold.

Off-Campus Housing: There are lots of places off campus you can go. They are not that far away but you need a car. It is usually cheaper to live off campus but classes might be annoying if there is a few hours in between classes.

4 College Student

Parking: There is not an incredible need for cars but its nice to have one. You just need to be careful because the campus security will not hesitate to give tickets if they see something wrong.

Drug Safety: There is a lot of underage drinking. There is almost no peer pressure for people who do not partake in drinking or drugs. You can still have a great time if you don't drink.

3 College Student

Transportation: You can always call a cab. The buses don't run out here so you must rely on there people or the shuttle. Personally, I find the shuttle to be very confusing. I don't understand how it works. There is a huge plaza that has stores restaurants and a huge Wegmans grocery store within walking distance.

4 College Student

Computers: There is no limit on printing. They will tell you that there is, but in reality, there isn't. They just want you to be conscious of the environment. Many people use Ethernet cords. Ethernet usually has no problems. The wifi here is not the best. It is relatively new to them and is usually slow and not very reliable. It has gotten better. Now it is more reliable and a little bit faster. The network also improved. Before, some things such as xbox live or PS gaming devices would not work well. Now there are rarely problems with them. At this rate they will have perfect connection in a couple years.

Campus Strictness: The RA's mostly tell you "Just don't let me see it." So while the policies may be severe if caught, they are not purposely looking to see if you are breaking any rules. Underage drinking policies are very strict. If you are underage, and you are in the same room as someone who is drinking (even if you haven't been drinking) you will get in trouble too. People here are good for most rules and usually don't have to be reminded.

Academics: There are many people in my major. People usually come here for art, music, theater, or physical therapy. The program is very hard. This is true wherever you go because the material that a student must learn is hard no matter who you are. The professors here are very understanding and very personal. They are always around and willing to answer questions. The facilities are in extremely good condition. The school had just built a brand new math and science center. They are also going to renovate the PT and OT building this summer. There are also lots of job opportunities on and closely off campus.
