4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Students dress up differently to look clean and perfect, students meet each other everywhere since it is a small college, and they build better relationships when time comes.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: The parties that are off-campus are great to meet different students from other colleges and we get along with them to have fun.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There's a few students that interact with students from Boston College, students most likely want to play basketball at the facility, and they join fun activities on campus.

2 College Freshman

Weather: The weather is bad when it snows and it affects students' plans where they need to go. Also, even though snow is bad weather, students will be happy that they don't have classes.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The police are not really strict sometimes, but it looks like they are here to make sure that we are doing good at any circumstances.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The professors are sometimes strict and good in every class I go to, the classes are straight forward, the workload is not a lot, and the tutoring center is very helpful to help students with homework that they are struggling with.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Taking the campus shuttle is great where it takes students to different locations on time, and we have to get on the shuttle bus on time.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: The diversity on campus is good enough where students are different from their own ethnic heritage and they get along with each other, but few students may not get along with other students with different heritages.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There have not been any violence on campus since there's cameras around our resident halls. Most likely students are safe.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Most athletes go to the facility to work out every day to get better, and having fun with other sports to enjoy.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The Drug Safety is safe enough to control yourself and do not get caught from police and Resident Assistant.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: It depends on where you live on campus.

Weather: Plows aren't always running so when a big storm hits, it can be difficult to get around.

Transportation: The schedule isn't always stuck to, but when it is it is reliable.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Not having a car makes it difficult to eat off campus

3 College Junior

Computers: There are a good amount of computers, but there could be more with a quicker log in time.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: We don't have frat houses on campus, so this is not applicable to talk about.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I had no issues applying for my major. I was accepted so I couldn't say what challenges I've had. However, my portfolio was important, so put your best work in the front, and make it look presentable.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I love the major that is available here. I'm very interested in the video game development process, I really enjoy the artwork involved, and for the most part everything is taught here that you would need to know to prepare yourself for a job in the video game industry. The workload is pretty average in comparison to other majors, there are projects I work on that take several hours, the curriculum is well made, and there is a variety of subjects that we will learn. We are required to have an internship, which it is up to ourselves to apply and find an internship, but the faculty/adviser helps us by talking with the company we apply to.

Diversity: Mount Ida college has a diverse student population. The race, believes, and sexual orientation of students vary, and are widely accepted. From my experience at Mount Ida there hasn't been any racial, political, religious, or sexual orientation issues. This is a pretty accepting campus.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Mount Ida College is a wonderful experience. My major is exactly what I am looking for, the faculty is professional, and has real-world experience in the industry. I've learned a lot so far, and will continue to expand my knowledge for my major. I would re-apply to Mount Ida in a heartbeat. I am attending this school to prepare myself for the video game industry, and I feel that this school is doing a great job. In the end it is up to me to work hard, but the teachers here will help me achieve my goals.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: For the amount of students on campus and the size of the school, there aren't many free spots open to park. In most cases it is pretty full, but there is always a few spots open. I believe the parking permit costs $100~$200. It is not necessary to have a car on campus because there are other means of transportation, there is a bus schedule that you can use for free.
