5 College Sophomore

Academics: I think the academics at Morningside are great. They offer a lot to students from all different areas. They have special groups for international students, which is nice so they have people to relate to. I also think it's great that Morningside offers study abroad schooling. I think students should be able to have other options to get an education rather than in their home country. The professors are highly skilled in their topics and are always willing to meet with students outside of class hours.

Transportation: As I am a commuter, I wouldn't have any idea how much public transportation costs. I know that the only transportation available are buses and taxis. I don't believe that any of the public transportation services are outrageously priced. A lot of the things on campus are within walking distance. It is nice to have a car on campus in case you want to go outside of campus to find entertainment.

Overall Experience: I would choose my school even if I had to choose schools again because the professors at the school are very personable. They know you and call you by name. Professors are always there when students need assistance when it comes to signing up for the most beneficial classes. It is also nice to know that the professors are some of the biggest supporters.

Local Atmosphere: Sioux City isn't a bad place. there are several places to go and things to do. most people are nice to the students. We don't associate with briar cliff university, as that they are our cross town rivals in all sports.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: You are pretty much guaranteed some type of scholarship.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: I am not really a bar hopper but I have heard that most of the bars are nice and reasonable.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: the off campus food is pretty good. there is a subway and dairy queen in walking distance. there is a small mall area with a food court about 10 min away. also there are some nice restaurants within 10 minutes away. Red robin, Buffalo wild wings, olive garden are some examples.

4 College Junior

Facilities: For the most part the facilities are pretty nice. they are building some new learning centers and classrooms over the summer.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: There isn't a big problem with drugs at the campus. the most that happens is some drunk partiers are coming home at 1 am and making noise on the weekends but other than that its not bad. It is a wet campus.

4 College Junior

Academics: The academics are very good. I enjoy the classes and the professors and understanding and they work with you

4 College Junior

Academics: There is a wide variety of majors offered. The professors are great, the workload is average, registration is fairly simple and straight forward. the professors help with the registration and degree completion.

4 College Junior

Majors: They have a fair amount of majors and the professors are great. Many of them are very willing to work with the students.

3 College Junior

Majors: Depending on the major, the work load is how you expect. If you are a biochem major, expect a biochem major amount of work.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Morningside doesn't, at least to my knowledge, shuttle students to and from. We have many international students so I assume there is some close airports and forms of transportation. A student should expect to either drive or get a ride someplace if they want to go off campus.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The off campus housing is pretty nice, they are clean and the land lords are pretty understanding.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Sports are a big part of the campus. A lot of people go to them and the coaches and the strength trainers are dedicated.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms aren't to bad of a place to stay, keeping in mind that they are dorm rooms. They are average sized. There are several different housing facilities on campus to choose from.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The men and women there are fairly attractive. There are some hot women, some beautiful women, some average women, and your low scale women. Its a good mesh. The same can be said about the men.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There aren't a plethora of things to do, but there are quite a few nice attractions or places to go, and there are a couple more things a few hours away if you really wanted something to do.

College Freshman

Transportation: We don't really have a inter-campus transportation system is a pretty small campus, nothing is more than a ten minute walk away at a leisurely stroll.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Most the time it's ok, but everything comes from a box a bag or a can.

College Freshman

Nightlife: I don't have a night life.

College Freshman

Majors: I am about to go on an internship but i haven't been on one yet.

4 College Freshman

Majors: They have programs and are willing to work with me on programs for my intended career as a coroner. the only concerns i have about it my job is availability.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but I hear the cooling is pretty terrible, or at least it was at the beginning of the year I think they've fixed it now. Heating works good though.
