3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: you just have to stay on top of your money and your financial needs.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: we have our ups and down with the weather. especially the transition with winter into spring

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: parking, fighting and visitation is the most enforced

3 College Sophomore

Computers: sometimes the connection is weak

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: its not all that good. our buffet style cafeteria reuses food alot.. sometimes the food isnt fresh

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: we have became alot more diverse in sexual orientation, and ethnicity.

Nightlife: Nightlife is the best part about college

Computers: The speed of the network really effects us as students. The computers we use are average.

Overall Experience: Morgan was never my first choice and i still think about transferring to another school. But, Morgan is a school where you have to make things happen for yourself. A great experience isn't going to fall into your lap. It is all about who you are and what you want out of your university

Campus Housing: If you have a great roommate and make enough friends in your dorm it'll be great. Though we don't have co ed dorms and our visitation hours are unreasonable you can still have a good time living in your dorms with some Bear Pride

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Everything is accessible, but only if you want to partake in it.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It's normal east coast weather.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The off Campus housing is ideal for Morgan students especially the ones that come from out of state because it becomes more cost effective. Morgan view is usually the go to because its a large student only apartment complex with many buildings and a great location.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: My personal experience went great they gave me what i needed and there wasn't any problems.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Some places in Baltimore are great places to live.

Campus Strictness: The visitation hours currently held at Morgan are unreasonable. During the week we can have visitors from 4-10:30 and on the weekends 4-12. Students feel like they are being treated as children being restricted to when they can allow company in their rooms. and There are no 24 locations students can be to study without bothering their roommates. as a whole it is unfair and needs to be changed. Everything else would be better if this problem was fixed.

Off-Campus Dining: Currently at Morgan State we only have two choices to find food at. The "Canteen" which is more of a food court type of setting with a nice selection of different foods, where most students eat and the "Refac" which is our buffet style dining area that gives out basically 2-3 option meals. The biggest concern students have about the dining is the way our meal plan is set up. You can have to the option of 14 meals a week but those meals are assigned by times. you can only eat breakfast from 8-10, lunch between 11-2 and dinner from 4-8 if you get hungry after 8 you have to find food in your room or go off campus to get food.

Academics: Like everywhere there are some professors who give a total of 4 assignments or have a pass or fail mentality. But, at Morgan there are some professors who appreciate the caring student that shows up to office hours and makes the extra step for their education. Your workload will increase but it's all in good cause. Morgan has changed my work ethic for the better.

2 College Freshman

Nightlife: Unless there is an event thrown by one of the organizations on campus or you hear of one at another school your night life will be pretty slow unless you have a creative group of friends and locations to explore. For the most part you have to create your own fun.

Transportation: We have the Baltimore town shuttle which takes some of the Baltimore students around to the mall and little shopping areas but at times it's late or doesn't complete the last time for pick up leaving students stranded, forced to call taxi's or other friends. Generally speaking the shuttle is a great idea but needs more time to work the little issues out.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Being an HBCU, there are a lot of black students but we do have a high number of non black students from White to Asian and even Brazilian.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: the security at morgan state university is very good.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: the greeks assist the rest of the community at morgan state.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: the off campus housing is not to good, but morgan has a specified area for those who wish to live off campus.
