Greek Life: No Greeks Allowed – There are no sororities or fraternities at Montreat College. There is no Greek life. Instead, there are just sports and different groups of people there.

Greek Life: Greek Students – I'm not a Greek student, but when I come across one they are nice and friendly.

Greek Life: They Don't Exist – Unless you are in the business major, there aren't any greek oppourtunities on this campus. From what I understand even that's a strech where they meet monthly or so but have no seperate housing, all they really have is some business fuctions they go to and compete throughout the year. Saying that, it was a positive for me.

There are no sororities or fraternities at Montreat College; as such, there are no special housing opportunities. Instead, campus involvement from the students is done via clubs, athletic teams, and other organizations. These activities, as well as the College itself, often host service and social opportunities ranging from cookouts to dances; however, these are not "members only," and there are generally no fees, unlike sorority and fraternity events.

Students looking for a substitute for Greek life won't find it at Montreat. Visible groups tend to form simply because Montreat is small, but the small campus size does make it easy to find other like-minded individuals with which to work, serve, and hang out, regardless of the lack of Greek organizations. The closest Montreat comes to a Greek organization, besides its clubs and teams, is the North Carolina Tau Chapter of Alpha Chi, one of the three most prestigious national honor societies.
