3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: For a large state school, the dining halls aren't that bad unless you're an extremely picky person who is completely against trying new things. My favorite dining hall experiences have been Halloween, when it was decorated and they had a buffet, and when they have international foods.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Actually the food isn't bad at all.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining hall meals are average and I end up getting cereal a lot, but there is almost always a salad bar and pizza/pasta bar available.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dining facilities offered by Missouri State University are excellent. They a variety of foods from different ethnic cuisine to cereal to pasta.

1 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I really don't like dining hall food. I think it is gross and not worth the money. Next year I will not be getting a meal plan. We do have meal trade which is nice because you can get chickfila and stuff for one of your meals instead which is what I usually do.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The University has three dining halls on campus. Blair-Shannon Dining Center is located in Blair-Shannon Hall, Garst Dining Center is located in between Hutchens House and Hammons House, and the third dining hall is located in Kentwood Hall.

Each dining hall has a variety of options every day. Kentwood has a smaller selection of food, but the quality is usually a little better. The Plaster Student Union also has options for on-campus dining. Plaster has Blimpie’s Subs, Wok & Roll, Domino’s, Grill 155, and Smoothie Island. All of these places accept cash, credit, block plan, and Bear Fare. Block plan and Bear Fare are two other options besides the typical meal plan. These plans are also accepted at the sandwich shop in Strong Hall and Kaldi's Coffee. No matter what type of food you are craving, MSU has exactly what you’re looking for.
