5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Since this is located in a large city, there are many dining options. There is a wide variety of cuisines in the immediate area.

College Freshman

Drug Safety: Since this is a private university, there isn't a drug scene like would be at some of the state universities. Students here are very much against using drugs.

5 College Freshman

Academics: I love my major. I am taking many music courses. On average I have 12 different music courses each semester in addition to core area classses.

4 College Freshman

Academics: They have an academic success center that offers free help to all students in any subject that is needed. Registration is very easy. The professors are very caring and are concerned for their students.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: It is very convenient and is free to all students. It is great for inclement weather as it provides a way to cross campus without being in the elements.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Some of the food in our primary "hot" station is really not great. However, we have an AWESOME brio where they make hot food fresh and every week day has its own specific food choice. We also have a made-to-order deli, salad bar, and then a station always stocked with pizza and hot dogs.

4 College Junior

Majors: It was fairly easy to enter the MAT program. There is basically a checklist that you need to complete.

5 College Junior

Majors: I have great instructors in the MAT program.

Scholarships: The financial aid department is rude and do things differently than any other university I have attended. For example, I was offered $7,500 in unsubsidized stafford loans. I completed the Master Promissory Note, but I never went to the school website to accept the loan, because I knew I would pay out of pocket for most of the cost. However, the school went ahead and accepted the entire $7,500 loan on my behalf without my permission. The worst part was that I only owed about $5,000, so they sent me a check in the mail for the remaining $2,500. I had to call and argue with the person in charge that it was not acceptable for them to accept a loan on my behalf. They made me void the check and send it back. This has happened three semesters in a row. I have never experienced anything like this, and I have attended two other universities as an undergraduate student.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I am not interested in sports at all, so I do not pay attention to the athletic program.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus, but when I visit the main campus I generally find it very pleasing.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I do not live on campus, so I am not aware of many of the school policies and strictness.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I always feel safe on the main campus and on the extension sites.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I am familiar with the Arnold campus, and there are great dining options surrounding the campus. I am always there at night, so I usually grab dinner before class. There are multiple fast food restaurants available.

4 College Junior

Computers: I am more familiar with the computers on the Arnold campus. They are generally in good condition, but sometimes there are multiple computers that do not work.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The Dining is good but it can be better especially if they had there deli and brio open for dinner and not just lunch.

Off-Campus Dining: Missouri has a lot of variety when it comes to dining out. But they can also be costly.

Parking: Parking is okay but there's not enough for the students and if you have to pay for parking then you shouldn't have to park in the gravel.

Local Atmosphere: There is not a whole lot to do unless you really like the city. if you love the city then you will like it here

Computers: There are a few different computer labs and there are computers in the library. The problem with the computer labs is that there are classes that meet in there at times so, they are not always open. The problem with the library is that there are so many students needing the computers and not enough computers for them. The great part about the library is that there are two printers and a copier, which all of that is free to the students and teachers. The internet lags in certain places on campus and also lags when there are a lot of people on it at once. It is best to have your own computer and if you live on campus someone is bound to have a printer in their room for you to use when the library is closed.

Majors: There are lots of majors at Missouri Baptist University. I am an Early Childhood Education major which is good because that is my passion but I have a slight fear of not being able to get a job in my field. Although I have heard of faculty who have helped students get placed into a job before they graduate. Right now all of the education stuff is being changed around in Missouri, so I have been debating on changing my major to another one dealing with children.

Drug Safety: At Missouri Baptist University there is designated areas to smoke at but there is hardly anyone smoking. There are no other drugs on campus, if Public Safety does smell or hear about drug use on campus then they investigate it.
