4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The campus is huge and really wants students to be involved. Sports are a great way to stay in shape and socialize and the school really knows and pushes that. Intramural sports can be done between the dorms and fraternities and sororities or can be played by a group of friends wishing to push their skills to the limit. Varsity sports are highly revered here and the sporting events are full of tail-gaters and good times.

5 College Junior

Athletics: I worked for intramurals and know first hand how many students participate in activities. Each sport has a women, men, co-rec, dorm, sorority, and fraternity section involved. Individuals may participate on up to two teams and normally do. Many people come out to support the games and get pretty competitive. All students attempt to be on some sort of team so that they may be a champion in that category. For the actual athletic programs such as football, baseball, basketball, etc. most students go to all of the games and have great spirit. My favorite experiences have been in the Junction ringing cowbells for games.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Mississippi State has some of the most dedicated and spirited fans. Not only are they dedicated to cheering on a sporting team, but the students, fans, and even the athletes around campus encourage other students to become more involved in academic, athletic, and extracurricular activities. The faculty and the students go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels accepted around the campus. Athletes are recognized in other clubs and activities, including Greek life or the student government. That's what makes Starkville, MS the best place to be.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: The Sanderson is great for all students. Our brand new football complex is absolutely fantastic.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Varsity athletics play a big role on campus but there are lots of other recreational opportunities if students don't play or watch those sports. We have great school spirit. Our football team is average. Our best sport would probably be baseball. We have nice athletic facilities but many students feel like a lot of money is spent on athletes when it could be distributed in other areas.
