Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
The Insalaco Center for Career Development can be helpful in finding an internship, but the center isn't all that reliable. If students are looking for an internship, the best go-to people would be the academic advisers. The Insalaco Center is mostly helpful for reviewing resumes/cover letters and having mock interviews. All in all, it's not very hard to find a job on campus, especially if the student has good relationships with his or her professors. The center also offers students the chance to be a part of the Guaranteed Placement Program. Starting freshman year, students fill out a contract of requirements to be fulfilled during each semester of every year. Once graduation hits, if the student can't find a job within six months, the Insalaco Center for Career Development will find him or her a full-time/part-time job or an internship. It's a great perk, and the semester requirements aren't very time-consuming.
