4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I really have enjoyed meeting new people at my school. Once you break the ice with people everybody is pretty cool.

2 College Student

Guys & Girls: They are a lot of snobby people here because mommy and daddy are always there with there credit cards to get them anything they want. if you brush it off you will be fine, when they decide to go out on the weekend just stay in a watch a movie or go to the gym. thats what i did.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: People are generally kind and friendly but some people can be rude

1 College Junior

Guys & Girls: LOL. Well, F if you're a girl.. but if you're a guy you still have some ugly girls to choose from. the ratio of guys to girls is 7:25, or like 28% of the school was guys. When i was a freshman, the ratio was less than 1:3. Mostly everyone on campus is super homely looking.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Overall not bad, the girls at least have a similar "look" (ex: dress the same). During orientation everyone is extremely nice to each other, but afterwards students aren't nearly as open. Usually after the first month the people you talk to are the same people you'll talk to until the next semester, you won't usually talk to new people.

While Misericordia used to be an all-women's school, thankfully, it's not at all like that anymore. However, the University sometimes appears to be female-dominated, with a girl-to-guy ratio of 3 to 1 (yes, depressing for the girls, but a major plus for the guys). It's hard to find a relationship at Misericordia that goes beyond appearance and lasts longer than the first hookup. It just doesn't happen.

While most students are mainly interested in hooking up, others are reserved and won't settle for anything but a relationship. Relationships don't last because the campus is so small; rumors spread like wildfire and somehow someone always says something to ruin the love connection. This pattern happens a lot with just about every couple that goes public. Most choose to date others from different schools because of the relationship risks at Misericordia. However, don't knock it before you try it. Most students on campus are very good looking, smart, and friendly, so it's tempting to want to date someone on campus. But, generally, once a student has had the Misericordia dating experience, he or she doesn't go back for more. Some do find love at Misericordia, but it only happens about five times per every graduating class.

Social Scene
Social events rarely happen during the week. Students concentrate on studying and attend campus events Sunday through Wednesday. When Thursday rolls around, though, there's a change of heart. Even though Misericordia is not a party school, most students lean towards drinking as a form of entertainment. Students go to off-campus apartment/house parties and bars. Whether it's Metro, Rodano's, or the Hardware Bar, you can guarantee Misericordia students will be making an appearance.
Hookups or Relationships?
Hookups are definitely more common compared to relationships. On Monday, the truth comes out about whom hooked up with whom in the past three days. If a guy wants to "hang out," he is really just trying to hook up. Some relationships do come out of the hookups at Misericordia, but it's rare.
Dress Code
There is no specific dress code that students follow. The way students dress is different depending on the occasion. When going to class or to a study session, expect to see tons of sweats and T-shirts on both guys and girls. If a party or night out is on the agenda, expect to see students in casual clothing, jeans and a nice shirt, or sometimes they're even actually dressed up. It's rare to see students on campus dressed in business attire, though.
