3 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports could play a bigger role. Personally being an athlete the sporting events don't feel how they should.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The facilities are of good quality and well kept. It is difficult to use some of the facilities meant for everyone when varsity sports also use the equipment. There is a limited amount of equipment, so students have to time when they want to use the gym so they do not go when a sport is there. Students do attend athletic events, but it is not their focus. It is more of something they go to so they can support their friends.

3 College Student

Athletics: We have varsity sports, but only a few actually get students fans. We don't have many club or intermural sports.

Edge abler the quality of the athletic venues. I do know that student athletes like the cheerleaders have really high GPA's. For last semester the cheerleaders had a 3.55 as a group.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The teams are not that good but the gym facility is great for students to utilize

Misericordia football has been "undefeated since 1924." Really—it has (since there is no football team). However, in the upcoming years, everything will change. Misericordia has added football to the list of athletics, and the campus is up in arms. Most are celebrating, while some don’t like the new changes that are in store. Either way, football has certainly shaken things up in the athletic department. In terms of other sports, the athletic teams are definitely well respected. Because Misericordia concentrates on academics, though, student athletes have to work twice as hard to get good grades, dealing with a workout schedule and daily practices on top of schoolwork.

The workout facilities were recently renovated with brand-new, up-to-date, workout equipment. The fully-loaded gym has everything from treadmills to Bowflexes and is a popular spot for students at all times of the day. In fact, if students had to choose to enter the Anderson Sports-Health Center for the gym or to watch a game, most would choose the gym. Many would also choose to participate in intramurals, another popular feature on campus. Students who don't play sports find this a good way to keep in shape. There are different intramurals for every season, and they usually get quite the crowd.

School Spirit
School spirit at Misericordia is actually pathetic. Students never know when games are, unless they are on the team. Men's basketball is the only sport that students get rowdy about. The stands get packed, and the dance team performs at halftime. Most of the students at Misericordia would rather concentrate on their academics than attend sporting events.
Getting Tickets
Tickets aren't even handed out for sporting events at Misericordia. Students and family can walk right into the gym and sit down for a basketball game or go right to the soccer field and get a seat in the bleachers. Crowds at the games are small, and tickets aren't necessary.
Best Place to Take a Walk
Most like to take nice, long walks in the College Manor housing development right next to Misericordia. It's quiet and serene, and there are always students walking around this area.
Did You Know?
Midnight Madness, a night where students can play everything from dodgeball to kickball in the sports center, happens once every two weeks at 11 p.m. It's one of the most popular activities on campus!
