Academic Experience: I'm taking my general classes here and then I will transfer to a four year university. This is a great option to choose financially because taking my generals at a community college is cheaper than taking them at a university.

Academic Experience: For the most part, M-State offers a variety of classes in various fields. The college is smaller so it is unlikely that you would have trouble getting into the classes that you need/want.

Online Courses: Online courses were a great fit for me because I could fit the time to do my course work into my busy and unpredictable schedule. I found that the site was simple to navigate and I always knew what assignment due dates were approaching. I almost always took advantage of the ongoing student discussion boards which gave me the opportunity to get the opinions of other student taking the same course online. The professors were excellent at emailing me back if I had any questions about the course work. I would definitely recommend online classes to anyone who would like to take classes and have the flexibility to "attend class" on their own time.

Career Services: There are many career workshops held throughout the year. There may be visitors from local businesses and/or a presentation on how to improve certain skills needed in order to be successful in any field , i.e. Resume writing, communication skills, interview preparation.... etc.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm not involved in any financial aid. I've talked to other students and they seem greatly satisfied with the general price of tuition and the amount of financial aid they received.

Overall Experience: The people at the school were very nice (minnesota nice) and the teachers were all willing to help you during their office hours with any questions or confusions you have about the course work. I had a great experience overall.

Student Body: There are many local students who attend the college, but there are also students from other parts of the U.S. There are a variety of ethnic backgrounds and religious views which adds many diverse perspectives to classroom and social discussions.

Campus Resources: The administration and campus resources are excellent. They are very good at answering any questions I have and are always willing to escort you to your campus destination if you need help.

Academic Flexibility: I'm a student who is taking part in the PSEO (post secondary enrollment option) program so I am taking both college and highschool courses at the same time. I often had to travel back and forth from my highschool to the community college. M-State offers a variety of classes at many times throughout the week. So, it was easy to fit my schedule together without fear of overlapping classes or not having the time to fit a certain cours into my busy schedule. The counselors at the college were extremely helpful in helping me make the best choices for my education through the registration process. They made sure that my schedule was manageable and kept my credits on track for graduation.

Facilities: The smaller atmosphere at M-state provides a unique and academically challenging experience. The class sizes are, naturally, not as large as they would normally at a larger university which provides more opportunity for in-depth discussions. The professors are extremely accommodating and are more than willing to spend time with the students after class during office hours to help the student feel confident about the course material. The tutoring center is also a great place to go if you are struggling with a particular subject. Not only will you get the help you need to succeed in the course but you will also make great connections with other students through learning together in a smaller tutoring group.

Overall Experience: I had some personal problems that got in the way of my classes, but I've fixed them and I'm back on track. It had nothing to do with the school, they were nothing if not helpful. I might not have gotten back on track without my adviser. I might choose this school again if I had to, it's a very good school.

Campus Resources: There's some of everything offered on campus, but it leaves something to be desired in most cases in respect of the resources available.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I've yet to have a problem with the computer labs available, printing, and the network in regards to the reliability, speed and access. But I need to use my personal computer for my online classes.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Most classes are offered in one or more of the morning, afternoon, and evening times on different days of the week and online if the campus classes won't work around my schedule. I haven't had problems with flexibility.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: I've seen resources for students about to graduate that help them find jobs in their field. I'm not really sure anymore how to access them, but my adviser will be able to help me when the time comes.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: My online courses could have more feedback than they currently offer, and peer-to-peer interaction could be better, but overall I've had a very good experience with everything else.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very affordable even for someone in a part time job. The earlier you can get your financial aid in each year the better. As long as you're willing to put the time in at the right times, the financial aid office is very helpful in making sure that you're able to get financial aid for your classes.

Academic Experience: Information Technology is very interesting to me. That being said, the workload doesn't seem like a lot because I enjoy learning about it. It covers a very wide variety of topics within the field, I just hope I get more hands on experience later on in the course.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The advisers at the school make it very easy to go through the class registration process. And they always seem to know each and every student's names, which is quite impressive in my opinion.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: There's plenty of different age groups ranging from highschoolers up to middle aged people. Not sure about the diversity in other respects though.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is easy to sign up for financial aid. I feel that the tuition is a little high. I feel that financial aid does not cover as much as it should, and that there are many more costs that are not covered by financial aid.

Student Body: With the online interaction I have with the other students, they seem to be friendly and want to be in school and do well.

College Junior

Career Services: I have not used this service yet.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The cost is better then the other colleges in my area.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: It was very easy to register for classes. There are discussion boards to discuss the information being covered with other classmates, as well as areas to ask questions. There is a little more work then in a normal classroom setting.
