Drug Safety: Guesstimate: a Little More or Less the Half – I don't know for sure, but I'd say 3/4 of the student population of MIAD drinks, and maybe half does drugs. As far as I know, there is not a lot of peer pressure, it's more of 'do it if you do it, do it if you want to, or dont do it if you don't want to'. I hear people talk about going to a party and doing drugs or drinking a lot, but about 1/8 of the school gets caught or I see drinking or doing drugs.

Drug Safety: There will always be a group of people who are that "crowd" at a school. It is completely dependent on who you hang out with to determine whether there is a drug scene/ whether it's a problem. As far as I am aware, there isn't a problem within the school. Students are very respectful of the wonderful environment we have here at MIAD and keep whatever drug scene there is outside of campus.

Drug Safety: There are not too many issues with drugs, some people do them, but most people just drink. And everyone seems to be very respectful of other people's lifestyle choices, so peer pressure really isn't a problem. But be careful if you have drugs or alcohol in the dorms, they are pretty strict when enforcing the policies.

Drug Safety: It's an Art School – I'm really going to go into the policy here. When I first transferred we went through this huge ordeal of an orientation at which the heads of the school gave quite the speech about drug use and alcohol. They basically said "Look, we know it's going to happen, but please keep it off the school premises. If you need help with an issue, please ask us, we won't judge you for it or get you into trouble." I thought that was actually a great way to present it and honestly I haven't seen any real issues with people being at the school intoxicated or anything like that. It's a smaller college for starters and so we're all pretty tight together in our majors or our school year level. We watch out for each other, both on the student side and on the faculty side. It's pretty nice that way.

Drug Safety: Not on Campus – The drug scene at my school is not a scene at all. Drugs and drinking are not an issue whatsoever on school grounds. However smoking cigarettes across the street is very popular, and recreational drinking off campus after school hours is a popular activity
