5 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Safety is first on campus, but the school just lets us enjoy college!

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Campus is not too strict. It gives you the room you need to grow as an individual. There's no policy that is put in place unnecessarily and the authority figures are not "out to catch" anyone.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: There really is not anything negative about the school.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: One of the bright spots of this school is it's lax drinking policy. Opaque cup is all you need.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: For the most part, the administration isn't very strict.

You should be vaguely cognizant that someone is administering certain rules, but no student is forced to be overly aware. The Greek houses are left to their own devices unless they are put on suspension for some violation (usually, each house has one a year). Some underage students growing brave take to drinking 40s in the middle of the Bowl or trying to sneak into the Caf’ without an ID.

There are notable exception to the lax enforcement of rules: The honor code is thoroughly enforced, and plagiarism at any level with any assignment is punished forcefully after being brought before the Judicial Council. To impress this upon students, at Commencement, every incoming freshman signs his or her name, pledging themselves to its edict, and some professors maintain that every assignment should be pledged with a signature. The other exception is overall dorm maintenance. Some students maintain that Residence Life sends out fines to every student at the end of the school year assuming that they will just send back a payment. Rooms are open to random searches, and there is a list of things that are no-gos, such as various cooking instruments, certain lamps, and candles. Propping open doors to residence halls is also a big issue enforced by RAs and housing.
