3 College Freshman

Computers: In my program, each student receive an I-pad on the first day of school. However, I am not sure if all programs do the same thing. All course are paperless and it is so important to own an I-pad. I love my I-pad since I do not have any carry my books any more to school.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There is no need for public transportation as most students live close to school or on campus. However, if you would like to go anywhere, it is easy to find a taxi. Usually, you can find a friend who can give you a ride to airport.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It is pretty hard to start a new student organization as you need to pass through many processes of bureaucracy. At the end, they may or may not allow you to start your club. There is so little money for students club. I do no believe that there is any room for students to protest or demonstrate.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drugs are prohibited on campus. No one can smoke marijuana or drink alcohol on campus. But, people can still smoke on campus.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I do not like my school so much. But, I love my program. Students, professors and the dean of my program are very friendly and nice. These people are open minded.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Dinning hall is big and can accommodate over 500 students. However, the options are limited. Nevertheless, healthy options are available. The cost of food is not so expensive.

5 College Freshman

Weather: The weather is great and I just love it. It never snows over here. It is very hot in summer for only one month. You can walk in short sleeves in the winter.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Dorm is so close to the classes. The rent is a bit more expensive than apartment complexes around school. However, rent is still affordable. The bedrooms are pretty small but the size of bathroom is OK.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many international stores and restaurants in the city. However, prices are not cheap and there is no discount whatsoever for students. The quality in most places is great.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Students in general are friendly. They dress casual. Students are smart and most of them are hard working. It is so easy to find a study partner.

5 College Freshman

Parking: There is no need to have a car if you want to live on campus or close to campus. A bike will be a great substitute for a car. There are many stores around school and post office is across the street. Parking lot is so big but it is far from class. I would rather walk to class than to drive my car there.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek students are welcomed in my school just like all other students. However, there is no organization on campus that gather Greek students under its umbrella. Nevertheless, there are Green stores and restaurants around campus. Social life in general in great over here. However, there are zero cultural events at school, which is so weird.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The security officers on campus are very helpful and kind. Once I lost my ID badge and usually when students lose items, they get returned to the security officer at the front desk. The security office was unexpectedly waiting in front of my classroom to give me my ID badge. This left an everlasting impression on me and felt cared for by school personnel. I feel safe on campus.

Campus Dining: The campus serves decent food, but I feel that the cafeteria can be improved with their food choices. The one inconvenient aspect of the dining hall is that it is not opened throughout the whole day. There are specific hours and sometimes this can be inconvenient for students who don't live on campus because they will have to drive or walk a distance outside of school to purchase food at a restaurant or food chain. There is not a lot of variety either.

3 College Junior

Computers: Computers are fairly slow and the network on campus is extremely slow and down frequently.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: Very safe campus no drug use on campus security is always present.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There's no drug scene at Midwestern. A large portion of the student body doesn't even drink.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Employees and faculty at Midwestern treat students and their families with great respect. I've only seen, heard, and experienced good things. There's no excessive or lack of strictness on campus, rather students and alike are treated like adults. Most, if not all, faculty members have open door policies regarding academic and social issues.

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus as there are always security guards patrolling and manning the front entrance. The buildings also require student/faculty ID badges for entrance.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I am moving from Missouri to Glendale, AZ this August. My previous school UMKC in Kansas City, MO I would rate off-campus housing a C because it was average. A good, safe home was very hard to come buy without paying an incredible amount of money

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Glendale is a quieter suburb just north of Phoenix. There are plenty of bars immediately in the area, and tons of attractions in Phoenix and in nearby Scottsdale. You can go to the Phoenix zoo, botanical gardens, or the Salt River just to name a few. During the summer if you feel like getting away from the heat you can head up to Sedona or Flagstaff to go camping.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: My financial aid advisor is amazing, she is always quick to respond and answer my questions.

5 College Junior

Facilities: New athletic center and student center. The library is beautiful, many windows, great place to study!

4 College Freshman

Academics: The faculty are open, wonderful mentors. Classes are great and it is fun to get to know students in other programs in classes like anatomy and physiology. Study groups are a must, and the new facilities make it so much better!

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: It's hard to party a lot with grad school, but if you work hard enough you have enough time to play and plenty of options to choose from.
