4 College Junior

Academics: Classes that are a challenge include Kinesiology, Anatomy, Principles of strength and conditioning and Exercise physiology. There are a ton of different jobs and internships available for Fitness and sports management that will give you the experience you need.

4 College Junior

Majors: I love my major mainly because there are a ton of jobs available in my field. Also I have the opportunity to participate in events and gain experience in my field.

3 College Junior

Majors: I have yet to hold an internship, but I know that some are paid and others are not. You always gain a bunch of knowledge that is related specifically to you ideal job.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greek life at Midland is popular and they're always holding dances and special events for the students. There is a special Greeks game held at the end of spring semester.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is a area with over 20 lakes, a lot of Midland students hang out there and get involved with the community. We usually go swimming, BBQ or fish at the lakes. There also is a shopping mall that has a variety of options to choose from. There are carnivals that come to the community that is an excellent attraction for the students too.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is quite a large selection of food places to choose from. The cost is decent and average compared to others. Most of the restaurants give student discounts.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Majority of students at Midland play a sport or are involved in intramurals. The fan support is great for most of the sports. Our volleyball, men's soccer, men's and women's wrestling, men's and women's track, men's basketball and men's and women's bowling team have made it to nationals this year.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are excellent even though they're old. All dorm halls have a place where the residents can gather and hang out. The dorms also have a kitchen built in where there is a sink, oven, microwave and fridge and freezer.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Midland is located in Fremont, NE, which is a small town. It's convenient even though here is no transportation that is supplied from the school because the housing is all on campus or the off campus is only on three blocks away.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid process was a hassle, but I believe it's a pain for about any school. The most difficult part is just trying to find enough aid to allow me to go to school because I come from a lower middle class family.

5 College Junior

Diversity: Midland is very diverse. There are a variety of students and teachers with ethnicities, religious views, sexual orientation and backgrounds that differ from the rest. The different races, backgrounds and sexual orientation don't only hang out with their own clicks, but everyone is mixed together and hanging out together. I really enjoy that about Midland because we're all together as one instead of split into different groups.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There is not much of a selection to off campus housing unless we find a house on our own. There is a selected apartment complex that holds about 50 apartments. They are conveniently located close to the campus and by other stores. The apartments are very safe, you have to have a proxy to get in. For the quality of the apartments they are over priced especially in some cases where you have to share a bedroom.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: There is a zero drug tolerance. Every Friday random or students who are believed to be engaging in drugs are tested for drugs.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Since Midland is a small school, a good majority of students are involved with a sport or the Arts. Kids go to volleyball and basketball games to support the teams.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Midland University is a dry campus so no alcohol is allowed. The parking situation is not the best for students but they will be putting in a new parking lot soon.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: I'm a member of Beta Sigma Psi, a fraternity here on campus, and we are very diverse group of guys.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The printing here is free for students which is really nice. The WiFi has been a huge problem on campus but has recently gotten a lot better. It's still not the greatest but allows you to get homework done.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are several restaurants available all around Fremont. Fast food from McDonalds, Runza, to Arby's and Subway. There are also many local dinners with good food. A student favorite is the Applebee's because of the late-night 1/2 priced appetizers.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: The school has recently started to really crack down on the alcohol and honor code, but only to make sure the students are getting what they should out of school.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of fast-food, but a lot of the times that is all college kids can afford. There are a few sit down places but they are chain resturants.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: You can find houses or apartments off campus pretty easily, and for the most part they are inexpensive. There are options close to campus or further away if that's what you prefer.

4 College Senior

Academics: The teachers at this school will definitely challenge your way of thinking. They push you to look at things from a new standpoint! They are always there to help you when you are having issues, and the small class sizes make it a lot more combfortable to approach!

4 College Senior

Computers: Every campus has wirless issues, especially when everyone gets on at one time! But, the IT department works around the clock to fix as much as they can!

4 College Senior

Greek Life: The greek life here is great! They hold a lot of campus events, and they sponsor most of the school dances! Plus, almost anybody can join! There is one for everyone!

5 College Senior

Athletics: The school does a great job of promoting sporting events, and they do a great job promoting intramurals! There is always something going on for athletes and non-athletes! The facilites are fantastic! The campus gym and weight room is open to anyone, and every student recieves a free membership to the local YMCA!
