Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is a piece of cake.

Overall Experience: I like the school because they have great teachers and staff to help you learn.

Academic Flexibility: The fact of the matter was that my mother had been advised to sign out, due to her academic progress, earlier in the year. But, MGTC still wants to charge her for a course she obviously cannot pay for. She had signed out approx. 3 days after the semester began - she thought she could make amends by earned good grades in a mathematics course.

But, some sinister policy MGTC holds, stated that she was well beyond her time to sign out and cannot receive any leniency for signing out - despite the suggestion made by her academic advisor.

Online Courses: Ever since MGTC merged with Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), there has been an explosion of courses available. But, I began attending much earlier.

Academic Experience: I helped me learn a lot about my chosen field: Information Technology.
In turn, I can apply what I've ascertained to the Gaming Industry in the future.

Student Body: In the little military town of Warner Robins, 70% students have veterans or active duty servicemen/women.

The other 30% are poverty-stricken, desperately searching for work. All things considered, most people go to MGTC just to obtain Pell Grant or Hope Grant monies before dropping the following week and moving on in life.

I give the entire student body a B+ for their resilience, not their intelligence - which is immeasurable.

Academic Experience: Time after time I find myself filling out forms and traveling miles for naught when it comes to this school.

For example, when applying for financial aid, I needed my current tax forms; but, I was unemployed until the point of homelessness.

Rather than simply updating their student database, like Morehouse College would, they send the student (me) out on a fruitless journey.

Second, when I request transcripts or check the status thereof, MGTC has a tendency to lose track of paperwork in transit or already received.

They delay things so much, scholarships and internships and even job offers are put to rest.

Career Services: I believe that schools should regularly update their web-based registration system for the sake of students.

They shouldn't invest so much in a merger without considering the time it would take to phase in a new web-based registration system. In short, students have difficulty registering their courses due to the downtime.

Furthermore, more financial aid should be offered to outstanding students than what is currently available. I myself have a standing 3.88 GPA, but I receive very little funding for food, transportation, books, etc.

The library is excellent and they offer a lenient policy for late returns. In conclusion, I feel a school that guarantees student success promotes and supports their students financially - even by means of financial consultation - rather than helplessly turn away the most promising ones.

Academic Experience: The professors have a student to professor relationship with all the students. All my professors have compassion and understanding when it comes to personal things.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: Students after they graduate or while in college have jobs through the college.

Student Body: Many people that go to my schoool are either going for their carrer, a ged, or to get a better education.

Online Courses: I thought online classes would be difficult to begin with but once i got used to it i starting doing really well. Im not really a social type person to start off with but when someone needed help with their online class I was not reluctant to help them in any way i could.

Campus Resources: The facilities on the campus are very accessible. We have a nice gym and workout room. a decent library with a wonderful staff. They are always willing to help, all the time.

Student Body: There is a mixture of students,Some are straight out of high school and then some are like me....Single parents with two or more children, working a job or two in hopes of a better career. But I really admire the much older students that returned to school to get their GED and push through the obstacles that held them back.

Career Services: My first semester at MGTC proved to me that i won't be left out to hang and dry. From the very beginning I met a man named Mr.Ivey and he opened up a door of opportunities that I could pursue to have a successful career after graduation. I knew I was in the right place. My student email is full of job opportunities all the time. There are also emails that invite students to participate in activities. For example, Mr. early is a very highly motivated instructor that shares info about skills USA and then we have the student council and PBL? There are dept clubs that may sell lunch in the student center which is a cool place to unwind and meet new faces.

Career Services: Myschool is defientely known for job placements. It is execellent for placing you on jobs.

Online Courses: The online program at Middle Georgia Technical College is absolutely great. Its easy and it is not hard to understand at all. We have opportunites to keep in touch with our professors and classmates. The work is organized weekly and we have the opportunity to work ahead to finish the course early.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Majority of the people that attend my school are full time parents and have full time jobs. They find the time to balance school work, a job, and parenting. They seem to make it work though and they are confident that they will succeed in their education and career.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's a pretty decent cost-friendly school. Although, the one thing I don't like is the Student Fee. It's really high. I don't use it often and it's $100.00 per semester.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The reason I chose this school is because it is cheaper to attend then a 4 year college. My classes are flexible and the hours are not long. I still have time to do whatever I want outside of school.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: They have a program called SkillsUSA where they help students learn to prepare themselves for the business world. Taking their skills to the next level. Participating in this program looks good on a resume. The also have a program like FBLA. I haven't attended a meeting yet but I will soon.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The computer network rarely have problems with connection. Everything works well and there is never a slow day.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The resources here are great. They have a warm feeling student center that is great for a chill spot. I come there almost everyday to do homework, socialize, study, or just to watch TV when I don't have any classes or wait for one to begin. The library is okay but I wish they had more selection of personal books to read. It still is a nice space and is always quite. They have an athletic center in the G building where there is an exercise room that I go to when I'm not busy in classes. They also have a gym to come and play basketball.

4 College Senior

Student Body: There are a good mix of people at my school; people straight out of high school, some people out of the military, and some with families and jobs. Overall a bunch of good people looking to better their lives.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: We take classes one at a time which makes it easy to concentrate and give you the chance to give 100% to the class and assignments. The teachers are very understanding and try to give you the best learning experience possible. The reason for the B is because the classes are regulated by the FAA and require you to go to school Monday through Friday 8 a.m to 4 p.m. It makes it very difficult to work, go to school, and have a family.
