5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: There are a lot of new dorms, but some of the dorms are really antisocial.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The rooms are anything but nice, however it is usually clean and isn't a problem. Just look forward to living in Heritage Commons sophomore year if you choose not to rush

5 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: The on campus housing isn't much different from other universities. The largest perk is that only people who live in the building can enter the building along with not having any visitor restrictions.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: dorms are fine. pretty nice, not to small and dining halls are pretty good

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Being in an LLC that you love is key. I love the hall that I am living in currently and have found my best friends there. The building itself is okay. a little out dated but overall it is a good building to live in. Not to mention its proximity to FSB.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Miami University requires incoming freshmen and sophomores to live on campus for the first two years. The freshman dorms are not horrible, but they are small and usually located in inconvenient places, such as the far ends of campus. The sophomore dorms are for students who are unaffiliated with Greek life (members live in sorority or fraternity housing) and are also inconveniently located. However, they are much nicer inside and are usually equipped with a private bathroom, as well.

For girls in Greek life, the Central Quad dorms are very spacious and nice. The girls are grouped with their sorority in corridors, so not only do they have nice rooms with a convenient location, but they are able to live with their closest friends. The guys in the Greek system are usually allowed to live off campus in their frat houses, unless they have violated the University's behavior policy or have not earned the proper grades.
