Greek Life: Greek life at Miami is one of the biggest cultural aspects. Many students are prideful of their fraternities and sororities but if you are not in one, you can sometimes feel left out.

Athletics: We do not have the best football team and we always struggle getting students to come support the team. The most attended sporting events take place in the Goggin Ice Arena for the Hockey games

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

There’s an old saying that goes, “You can make a big school small, but you can’t make a small school big.” The overall experience at Miami University is different for every student, but most seem to have enjoyed their time here, and most will agree that the former part of this statement is representative of Miami. Miami is not a huge school, but it is large enough to feel like a big university without being overwhelming. It is essential to find a niche when you arrive; otherwise, you may get lost in the shuffle. One of the best ways to determine if you will like Miami is to take into consideration what is important to you in a school and to really weigh your options. Visit the campus and ask questions—this is the next four or five years of your life. If Miami does not fulfill an important need you have, it probably isn’t the school for you, and there are people here who feel like they don’t belong.

Nobody enjoys school 100 percent of the time, but the students at Miami have a plethora of options, both social and academic, at their doorsteps. At Miami, you cannot be afraid to try new things, talk to new people, or grow as an individual. However, this is true no matter where you decide to attend college. Overall, the most important fact to take away from this guide is that most students feel that they made the right decision in attending Miami.
