3 College Junior

Facilities: Fair to good areas on campus in general

3 College Junior

Facilities: Commuter University. BIS degree option is great.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It is a commuter campus, so I can only relate to the honor code, parking, and attendance. Miami is very strict on these factors.

College Junior

Nightlife: I do not participate in nightlife so I have no rate.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is not too much to do unless you drive like 15 or 20 minutes away.

3 College Junior

Weather: When the the weather gets nasty in the winter, the campus never closes unless the non-commuter campus does which is inconvenient.

Drug Safety: Drugs are prominent in Middletown and nearby Franklin, OH and heroin has reached it's third epidemic in this area alone, and it is still growing. Access and visibility is obvious around town and somewhat near the school, but unsure whether the users are students or not except a few known select few.

5 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: Very diverse and welcoming to anyone from any culture. Study abroad programs are very well integrated.

2 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: This is a regional campus. Hardly no off-campus housing has been agreed upon.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: Plenty of healthy choices as well as many fast food restaurants on two of what we locals call "fast food alley"

1 Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: No bars, clubs or attractions as this is a regional campus. What bars are around are for locals and can cause issues if people don't know how to handle locals.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: Middletown is an average size town, with a lot to do within a fairly short drive, but that's the issue, driving when some don't have transportation.

3 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: Theft and vehicle break-in's are high in Middletown because of Franklin and Middletown's heroin epidemic issues.

2 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: Because our students do not receive scholarships, even to the bigger campus, we don't have the best of athletes, but makedo with what we have.

Transportation: Overall transportation at school is good. It offers a shuttle between the Hamilton and Oxford locations for people who can't afford to drive themselves there, and it is conveniently enough located that it isn't a hassle trying to drive to school. Also the local bus systems do appear to run by campus which offers further assistance to people who otherwise would not be able to drive to campus. One thing I wish the campus would consider however is the cost for people to drive themselves to and from campus who don't use the public transportation options; to be more clear, I think the regional campuses should start factoring in the costs of gas and car repairs into the financial aid award amounts, further helping students who may not otherwise be able to cover such costs for transportation.

Nightlife: Personally, I do not like to go to any of the clubs or bars around campus in Middletown, mostly due to the fact that there are no clubs that I know of around campus and the bars are not safe. I would much rather drive twenty or thirty minutes to Dayton, Oxford, or Cincinnati to go to a bar or club that had much more going on but that also felt safer and had good public reviews.

Off-Campus Housing: Middletown has multiple cons going against it in terms of off-campus housing. For one thing, the location is not very secure at all and makes it difficult to find an affordable place for someone trying to room alone or even with another roommate. This brings up another point: the Middletown campus does not offer enough financial aid or scholarships to help cover off campus living expenses. It only just covers tuition in most cases, leaving enough to finance one or two school books on top of that. Overall off-campus living at the Miami University-Middletown location is not very feasible for financial and safety reasons.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Average. They're vey helpful but getting your money can take a little time.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The location is away from busy streets and businesses in its own quiet area. There are lots of places to eat on the main drag right off campus.

2 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The school is located in a factory filled town and there is pollution in the air.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I have met some people in athletics and there seems to be a lot of involvement.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I have not ate anything at campus, but there seems to be a good variety of foods.
