2 College Freshman

Diversity: Mostly white people on campus with black people sprinkled through. A lot of them (all the races prevailing at Adelphi)come from middle class families so not a lot of diversity

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Barely noticed security and sexual assault was pretty rare on campus

3 College Freshman

Facilities: It was an ok campus lots of green spaces tons of birds and bunnies to be found around campus. The building were cool lots of ac the dorm I was living in was ok. My room had no heater so me and my roomie woke up shivering and sick a lot.

College Freshman

Majors: I didn't have a program

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: It was ok my freshman seminar class was more like an English class we read 26 books in the course of semester and wrote papers in all of them. It was a really enjoyable class though I feel asleep once or twice. My actual English class however was horrible and the teacher failed me claiming I didn't put in a price of writing to my work but I put it in her mailbox. She was a horrible teacher anyway

College Freshman

Overall Experience: Im not sure because I was only here a semester before financial aid problems arose and I had to leave the school.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: One club near campus, and you had to drive to get there, and it sucked. Went twice and sucked both nights. Adelphi's party scene was horrible.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: At Adelphi partying was non existent and Greek life was very low-key. I had a group of guys from one fraternity I was looking into invite me to bowling and bar hoping but I was a scared 17 year old freshman so I didn't go but the guys were cool about it

4 College Senior

Majors: Getting into this program was quite challenging. We had to complete a number of various prerequisite courses to even be considered for the program. An essay was also required as to why we wanted to become Physical Therapists. After this we were called in for an interview with the PT faculty and staff. In addition, we had to take the GRE's to be considered for admission into the program. After this we found out whether we got into the program or not. The most important criteria for admission is your science prerequisite grades along with your last 30 undergraduate credits.

Majors: This program is very challenging. There is a constant workload between studying for tests and completing assignments. I do enjoy being in the program. I feel that the program is very challenging while still being fair and teaching appropriate curriculum that will prepare you for a career as a Physical Therapist. The teaching staff are all very experienced and knowledgeable. The school offers a great deal of potential places to have internships.

Local Atmosphere: Mercy is located in a great area. Dobbs Ferry is a very nice town in Westchester with a lot of very nice homes. The town of Dobbs Ferry has plenty of restaurants and other amenities for the students and residents of the town to use.

Health & Safety: I always feel perfectly safe on campus whether it is during the day or at night. I really do not know much about campus crime or special security measures the college takes.

Academics: As a PT major there is a significantly large work load. This program is a weekend program which is good because it allows you to work during the week, however it is tiring being in class all day on the weekends. The curriculum covers all of the basics that one would need to know in order to enter the field of Physical Therapy. The school does all the work in setting up clinical affiliations and internships.

Academics: As stated above, there is a very large workload in this program. The curriculum is challenging but it is very appropriate and the instructors do a great job of preparing the students for their professional careers.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: Sometimes it takes a little while to get the financial aid money, however it has always come and I have never had an issue.

Facilities: The school has a great outside turf field for various sports such as baseball, soccer, and lacrosse. The library has more than enough computers with the addition of quiet study areas.

Athletics: The athletes at my school are involved with everyone in there school. They mean a lot to the school. They work hard while practicing and learn how to work together. The athletes at my school have good attitudes and have great sportsmanship. Everyone in the school has great school spirit. Students cheer for the athletes and give them the best support. The athletes then feel supportive and get more into the game. Sports is a big deal for some.
