Overall Experience: Mercy is a great place for nursing. You learn so much and you have to apply yourself to do well. It is a big unorganized because there are so many nursing students.

Academic Experience: I am in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. The class size is very small which really helps with learning. We have a fun class experience and the teachers are so awesome. They make every class period fun and involve us in hands on activity. There is never a dull moment in the class! The class work is also very appropriate and does not consume all of your time but teaches you the main aspects you need to know.

Academic Experience: Everyone on the campus is super nice and all the professors are extremely passionate in what they are teaching. All the staff are encouraging and helpful no matter what your background is. The classes force you to work hard and the academic standard is high. They really take pride in making sure all students are doing the best they can.

Student Body: My school is contained of all people who want to work in the health care field so it is not extremely diverse. Most students work and go to school and most do not live on campus so it is not much of an interacting school besides in the classroom. It is nice to have all the same people who are trying to reach the same goal though!

Online Courses: It is good to take online class if you are a busy person and working while attending school. It allows you to do things at your own pace and time. I got an A because I was able to work at my own pace and did not have to attend a class which I would more than likely not pay attention in. You just have to make sure you are goal oriented and can stay on track and not get distracted by outside factors. Online classes are great and allow almost anyone to get an education.

Student Body: The student body isn't as diverse as I'd like in terms of culture, etc, however, it is diverse in background and age. There is a large population of women compared to men, as well.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I've been very happy with classes so far. The scheduling and availability of counselors has been great.

Tuition & Financial Aid: This school offers a great accelerated BSN program, so it's worth the money, however, I don't qualify for as much financial aid.

Campus Resources: The network is reliable. However it is annoying that we have to pay for printing. I think it is like 10 cents a sheet. But we pay 7,500+ a term. I think they could afford to supply us with ink and paper.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library is really nice, however we could use a workout room. Some of my classes are 5 hours apart and since I drive an hour to school it would be nice to have a gym, or even just a treadmill to walk on.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: It is pretty much a strictly medical college. I like it because there is no partying. However I wish they had on campus housing.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: as far as I know its fine. I haven't started school yet.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I wish that tuition was cheaper, and doing financial was pretty good.

College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I haven't started school yet but what I have seen it should be good.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There were times where I felt needed and wanted responses were delayed and some phone tag happened but ultimately got my questions answered. I have learned to ask a lot of questions so I don't miss out on important opportunities.

Campus Resources: Computer labs were mostly taken by professors and their students. But students were allowed to use the labs when classes were done. Printing on campus was easy and there were plenty of printers available in the library. The network was reliable and easy to use. If students wanted to use their personal computers, they were allowed to do so, but they just had to log on to the wireless router anywhere in the school. There was no need to have a personal printer because there were plenty of printers located throughout the school.

Online Courses: Workload is manageable in online courses, there are certain courses such as Religions of the World that involved a lot of reading. But I still find taking online classes at Mercy College convenient because you can do the work during your own time and the assignments are challenging but rewarding because you are required to research NEW information according to the topic. Registration process is easy and can be done either online or on campus. Professors respond to student emails and postings during the week. Weekly discussion topics requires replies to at least two other students original postings to make the discussion boards interesting for the week.

Student Body: The catholic religion is tremendously important to the college, however they do not push the beliefs on to people of different religions. They respect the diverse students and also offer diversity and religious classes.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Friendly and helpful students, but each program sticks to communicating with their classmates.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: My advisor is also the lab teacher, applied teacher, program chair, and not helpful at all....Or a good teacher......

3 College Junior

Online Courses: Some of the teachers of the online classes don't always respond to emails right away or keep caught up with the grading. These are the only things I really don't like about Mercy College's online courses. But I don't think it has much to do with the college itself. It's more about those specific teachers.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: 5 years masters program, work- study available throughout the entire year. The professors are very helpful, and take their time explaining the topic they are covering. The students are very friendly. Not to mention the most outstanding athletic department.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: For Starters the school is right in the middle of Manhattan which gives every student a very unique college experience. They have many great opportunities to offer. The professors and students are very social and enjoy helping one another.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: the professors are extremely friendly and take their time to help the students understand the material being taught very clearly.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The library is beyond amazing. And the computer labs are great along with the speed of the internet.
