Facts & Statistics

Tips for Getting In
  • Do well on your standardized tests.
  • Keep your grades high.
  • Maintain contact with your admissions counselor.
  • Visit campus and make connections.
Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • Don't pigeonhole yourself before you get here. Keep an open mind, especially when it comes to what you're majoring in.
  • Don't slack off your freshman year. There have been many cases of people who have devoted their time to too many other activities and ended up losing their scholarships and leaving Mercer as a result.
  • Greek life has a strong presence here and being involved in it can either make or break you.
  • Parking is limited.
  • Take advantages of Mercer's free activities.
  • The campus is like a fishbowl, where everyone knows everybody's business. The more people you know, the more likely your business will inevitably surface.
  • There is an aggressive squirrel population on campus. Also, the air will smell foul some days, which is generated from the local paper mill.
