College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I take all night classes, so I don't eat on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are many student activities and facilities available.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Professors really care about and take an interest in their students.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no Greek life on my Mercer campus, so it does not warrant a rating.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Mercer is not known for its athletics, but there are good workout facilities on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Our school has a good mix of cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It seems that there are many apartment complexes close to school.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I go to school with wonderful people - great diversity!

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid process is good but there are no merit-based scholarship programs to apply for in my program at Mercer.

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I do not live in on-campus housing and so I could not fairly evaluate it.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love Mercer - the professors, the close proximity to my home, the location in Atlanta. I wish there was a stronger financial aid program, though.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Atlanta is a great city full of fun things to do and great restaurants.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Our campus is very safe and we very rarely have problems. The only problems I have heard of are when students hang out with non Mercer students off campus.

4 College Junior

Majors: There are a lot of job opportunities and internship opportunities in Macon. Over 60% of the Mercer population has an internship.

4 College Junior

Majors: If I could do it all over again, I would be a psychology major, and then go to nursing school (if I had the money). I would want to stay here all four years.

3 College Junior

Academics: The nursing program is pretty good here, I just wish that all four years could be held in Macon so that I do not have to Atlanta.

4 College Junior

Academics: We have so many different options for what you can study. You can also create your own major. Classes are rigorous, so you know that you are being taught well.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The people here are great. There are not an abundance of attractive people, and there needs to be more social life.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love Mercer. It really is a great school, and I have had a good time here. I just wish we had more social life, and that the enrollment numbers were a little larger.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Besides the freshman dorms, we have really nice facilities.

5 College Junior

Facilities: We have really unique programs for each major such as fifth years masters programs for business and engineering, and guaranteed acceptance programs for all health fields and law fields.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: I wish that Greeks were allowed to have official off campus housing. The housing on campus is too small for our chapters, and the houses are kind of run down. The Greek community would flourish much more if there were not so many restrictions on Greeks.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I had a great experience with financial aid. As an independent student, they were very easy to work with.

2 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is nothing for college students to do here. We have a park, and that's about it.

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: They are pretty strict on students. It makes it hard to have a fun social life on campus. I understand that it is their job, but they could chill out a little bit.

Mercer provides a great overall experience for its students. It offers a good social environment, as well as an exceptional academic environment. However, it is also difficult. Even if you easily received A’s in high school, you will have to put substantial time and effort into your work here if you want to continue to get grades like that.

The professors at Mercer are passionate and often create classroom environments that are open-minded and thought-provoking. This sense of engagement and candidness can make your courses seem more exciting and worthwhile. Overall, the majority of Mercer students say they would not trade their experience at Mercer for anything.
