3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: beautiful scenery, convenient transportation (as I live a little farther, there will sometimes be traffic jams.), nice classmates

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: nice teacher for consulting, so warm-heart

but the information sometimes is not enough for some students

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: Most students in my university take the off-campus housing.

3 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: There are many different religions in my university. And few discrimination exist, I think.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: It's too expensive for me to join a fraternity or sorority.

Members of those organizations have more powerful leadership than non-Greek students do. And there are much more alcohol in those organizations.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The professors are understanding and want you to be successful.

Overall Experience: The alumni are there to help you, but it sometimes feels like pulling teeth for possible interviews and internships.

Nightlife: There are many different places depending on what you are into for fun. There are clubs catered to students, bars and restaurants for dates and casual drinking, and theatres showing some of the local talent living in Macon. Plus, the nightlife is great after sports events, especially football and basketball games.

Greek Life: Greeks are common place on the campus. All of them get along well with Non-Greeks. All students are respected.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Tons of places to shop in the Metro area of Atlanta. Many of the local pars and amphitheatre have concerts weekly. Gospel, Jazz, Alternative music all here in the mecca city of the south. Atlanta is agreat place for family living and social scenes.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Football has returned to the Mercer Bears. Basketball put the school on the map when they defeated a top contender.

4 College Junior

Academics: Most professors are eager and willing assist students. Liberal Arts rules, they have the best instructors. Dr. Thomas Biggers you're the best.

Academics: Express yourself is what this school has allowed me and others to do weekly. Assisgnments are challenging but duable. Very informative on the different classes being offered.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Actually food is okay not many choices.

5 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: Great atmosphere for college students..

3 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: I'm not apart of the athletic department.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: I haven't decided if I'll join a Greek yet.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: We don't have much diversity. We mostly have southern, christian, republicans as part of our student body. In the past few years though, Mercer has been working towards changing this and I feel that the diversity is getting better.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Mercer challenges us. Don't expect to be given grades, you really have to work for the A's and B's. Not going to class or seeming uninterested can really hurt your grade.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Registration is the most frustrating part of Mercer. They have about 600 students attempting to register for classes not realizing that the server can't withstand that much activity. Also, the classes fill up really fast if you're not one of the first people on the site.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: We don't have the most attractive set of people but we do have a lot of vibrant personalities that make the people more forthcoming. Since the school is small it becomes difficult to keep your business private so many relationships are under the public microscope.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: We only have two really popular clubs: Envy and The Wall, so the variety is not much unless you go to another school or area.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: A lot the off-campus dining closes pretty early so there not many options past 10pm, except like McDonalds.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The black fraternity's are up and coming so the Greek scene is getting better than before.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The gym's hours are great and the machine availability are amazing.

Mercer provides a great overall experience for its students. It offers a good social environment, as well as an exceptional academic environment. However, it is also difficult. Even if you easily received A’s in high school, you will have to put substantial time and effort into your work here if you want to continue to get grades like that.

The professors at Mercer are passionate and often create classroom environments that are open-minded and thought-provoking. This sense of engagement and candidness can make your courses seem more exciting and worthwhile. Overall, the majority of Mercer students say they would not trade their experience at Mercer for anything.
