4 College Sophomore

Computers: The school has recently invested a lot of money in new computers and computer labs.

College Sophomore

Nightlife: Again, as a commuter student, I really just attend classes and club activities that I am involved with. Nightlife for me is back at home in Cheektowaga.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: We have a really good basketball team which draws amazing crowds. That gets a lot of attention and support. The other teams are not as well attended. I am a commuter student who does not get that involved in the athletics at the school.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I am a commuter student so I don't see what goes on during non school hours. That is when any drugs would be occurring and not during school hours.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: I really don't pay too much attention to political beliefs, religion, and / or sexual orientation to comment on this diversity on campus. There seems to be a good mix of ethnic / racial diversity. The campus is close to the Canadian border so we get a lot of Canadian students which would be considered international students.

Weather: Buffalo has horrible winters so if you're not used to upstate weather beware! Definitely need a great winter coat and durable boots! And wear layers.

Off-Campus Dining: There's literally nothing right off campus, because the campus is right off the highway... you have to travel a little more into the heart of the city where there a plenty of cute coffee shops, for reasonable to cheap prices. There are greek fast food places, and restaurants, tacos, pizza, italian, Chinese food. Also there are bars that offer burgers and things in the day time accessible by anyone.

Campus Dining: Honestly the dining isn't that great. There's breakfast available. Theres about 6 options available daily for other options, such a pizza, wraps, pasta, fries.. etc But nothing too exciting there are vending machines throughout the campus. There's also a cafe and crepes and smoothie spot where you can use flex dollars.

Computers: They school has a lot of computers available to use which is great. There are lots of labs you're able to use. Printing on campus is great too. Youre given a certain amount of money for the year I believe, I have not run out of that money yet. Network availability is great. You're able to bring your own laptop, but if it's not a neccessity I wouldn't bother. Sometimes it can be more of a hassle than anything, especially if you use public transportation to commute, like myself.

Scholarships: It was a bit difficult when needing extra money to live on campus. the issue was resolved, but I never received money to live on campus. However I did get a scholarship for school which allowed me to attend almost expense free. living on campus is extremely expensive and I was notified about a week before classes started that I needed about $6,000 to live on campus, that need to be paid in full before moving in. However, that was impossible I didn't have that money nor did my parents.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. I don't believe we've ever had an assault on campus/ or campus crime. Allotting me to feel very safe. Theres always campus safety on duty. If I were ever to feel unsafe I could have someone escort me.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Absolutely love my major. All the classes I'm taking are going to be used for me to complete my major. I loved all of my professors they were extremely approachable and friendly. I would like to become a kindergarden teacher. I don't have many concerns yet about being able to find a job because this is my first year in college and I'm mainly taking beginner classes.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I have never seen anyone under the influence of any drug or alcohol, although I know it's prevalent (because when is it not on college) but I've never had a first hand experience other than maybe over hearing other students talk about it.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: There's not a lot of advertising for sports or games that are going on so it's hard to know what happening. Sports teams/ jocks seem to be rather cliquish. I don't really know anyone who has attended a game. I have never gone to one myself.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My school has great professors. However, it's a very small campus with little to no interacting with students. Has about 20 clubs but no one goes. I went to check out a club I was the only one there besides the students who organized it. I would prefer a larger student body with more clubs, diversity, and social things I could get involved in. Also campus housing is extremely expensive, I would have really loved to experience living on campus, but at this time it's way cheaper to live off campus.

Local Atmosphere: Absolutely love Buffalo! There a lots of college kids around, perfect college town. Awesome night life and extremely friendly people! Glad I chose to go to school here.

4 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is free which is great! You need to plan accordingly to find parking or use the shuttle to make sure you get to classes on time.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: I do not live on campus. I have an apartment off campus with roommates. So it's very hard to navigate to college without a car and a semi decent bus route. The bus drops me at least a mile away from campus.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't have a greek life, so I have never experienced it first hand.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I do not currently live on campus, however I have viewed them a couple of times. The buildings are very new and architect is nice. Very clean and pretty spacious.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't have Greek life.

4 College Freshman

Parking: It can be hard to find a spot on campus.

4 College Freshman

Academics: It's difficult, with a heavy, heavy workload.

5 College Freshman

Academics: I am challenged on a daily basis.
