3 College Junior

Campus Housing: On campus it is okay. They have the bare minimum at the dorms. The dorm that I live in used to be hectic in the fall but now it is calm. Social atmosphere is not that good, most people stay in their own circles. The housing process takes awhile.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Experiences that are my favorite is the one's that I had with my teammates. The professors here are helpful and it is easy to get an appointment.

1 College Junior

Transportation: Transportation options at school are very minimal usually you get around by taking a bike or walking if you do not have a car. Or you can ask someone that you know to take you somewhere. There is no public transportation like back in California.

2 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Thee is not much to do in McPherson. It is very remote and there is very little activities to do. There are not many cultural events on campus. Sports/recreation is not very god here. Attitude toward students is nice.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The policies are pretty good. The strictness of cheating is enforced like many other universities and the campus police I have not seen much.

1 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are not many healthy places to eat. Usually it is just chain restaurants that are available. I gurantee if you drive 15 minutes in any direction when you are in Kansas you will find an applebees, Long John Silvers, or a KFC.

3 College Junior

Majors: I enjoy it because the advisor knows how to make the classes enjoyable. I think there should be more classes that teach students how to create workouts. Definitely would like to have more nutrition classes and fitness classes.

College Junior

Majors: The internships that I have one were outside of school. There are not many internships for physical education majors.

2 College Junior

Weather: During the winter time everyone just eats alot and stays indoors. Not many people played in the snow.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: For the terms of looks there are not many good looking girls on campus. The ones that are good looking either are not looking for a relationship or are already in one. The ratio of girls to guys are significantly skewed with alot more guys to girls. So if there is a good looking girls chances are they are already talking o some guy or some people.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: There are not many academic scholarships for students who do not play sports. Most people on campus are in sports or auto restoration. Plus there are not many scholarships for part time students even if they are one unit short from being full time (12 Units)

2 College Junior

Computers: The good thing about printing is that it is for free. The bad news is that there is no color printing so you really cannot make great copies. Network reliability is bad. The wireless network is slow and take awhile to load. The network on my computer cashes everyday.

College Junior

Diversity: Most of the stuents in my school are white. There are a couple of African Americans on campus but most are white. As for Hispanic or Latinos I have seen less than 10; there might be more but I have not seen them. For the most part most people on campus are white and Christian. There are not many international students.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: When I first started attending my program, I was fairly upset because it was not a part of my college plans. As time went on I began to like it more. This had a lot to do with the people I met and the sport that I take part in. If I were to do it all over again I probably would not have considering that my dream has always been to remain living in California and to attend school there. My career goals are to receive my Masters degree and hopefully become an FBI Agent or somewhere in the secret services.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: There actually were no difficulties getting into my program. I run track so I just called the coach of the school and told him that I was interested in joining his team and he almost immediately told me that he would give me a scholarship so that I could attend this program. This program does not have an abnormal application process. Considering that this is a small campus, it is not very hard to get into this school.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The most convenient ways of transportation from school and home would have to be airplane and a motor vehicle. Airplanes tend to be a bit pricey especially is one lives outside of the border states. Driving convenience just depends on the distance of your home from your actual school.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are actually no fraternities or sororities on campus so there would be no form of a Greek social atmosphere.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The campus has their own off campus apartments which students are allowed to apply for which is pretty convenient. There are also apartments a couple miles away from school as well as regular houses that students are allowed to live in as long as they meet certain criteria set by the dean of students.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics on campus is great. The classes are small which ultimately leads to more one-on-one time with the professor which can be very helpful. The workload is fairly average. There tends to be a lot of papers to write and the average amount of exams and quizzes throughout the semester.

2 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather here in Kansas is ridiculously cold. Coming from California was a huge difference. Sweaters, jackets, and scarves are definite items that one should bring if they are going to attend school in Kansas.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: The computers on campus are not technically up to date but they work perfectly fine. The network speed works incredibly well considering that there are more than 300 people using the same network at once. The wireless is pretty amazing considering that I can use my WiFi all over the campus.

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is not very much diversity on campus. For the most part, all athletes hangout with their teammates and non-athletes tend to hangout with people who share the same major as them. There are a small handful of homosexual males and females on campus. The females are treated as if they were straight, but the males get treated like they are contagious.

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There are not very many Health and Safety issues within my campus. It is a fairly small campus which does not really allow one to misbehave.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The on-campus strictness varies depending on the time of the day. Usually during the daytime people are more lenient towards the students. As the late night hours come around, the Resident Assistants tend to be pretty strict when it comes to noises and visitations; especially visitations of the opposite sex.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The school athletics are very fun. Most of the student population attends the varsity games. Students tend to make posters and post them up all over the school to try and encourage others to help support our fellow athletes.
