Facts & Statistics

Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
Consider learning the Greek alphabet. With so many fraternities and sororities, it's bound to come in handy at some point. If you ever see a random group of letters written on a desk, there's probably some member of a fraternity or living group responsible.
Interviews & Information Sessions
Information sessions are offered Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following address: Admissions Reception Center 77 Massachusetts Avenue Building 10, Room 100
Campus Tours
Campus tours are Monday through Friday at 10:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. starting at 77 Massachusetts Avenue, Lobby 7. These tours are student led and are held immediately following information sessions. If your group is larger than 15, please call the Information Center at (617) 253-1875 at least two weeks in advance. Otherwise, no reservations are necessary.
Overnight Visits
Any high school senior or junior is welcome to stay overnight during the fall term. However, in the spring term, MIT would prefer overnight visits to be limited only to students who have already been admitted. Overnight housing is arranged on any Sunday through Friday evenings, except during MIT or public holidays and exam periods. There is no charge for housing.
