3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I am not familiar with the Greek life since I don't live on campus.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: There is no greek life, but it is still easy to mingle. There are tons of clubs and opportunities to do good in the community through these clubs. There is always something going on on campus. It's always busy day or night. It is nice.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Not Too Many – It isn't a Greek life on campus but the social events are endless. Its a great way to involve yourself with the school and become acclimated to new people and the university.

Maryville doesn’t have a Greek system, so any problems that could happen as a result of Greek life don't exist. The University loses some benefits of having a Greek system, such as widespread community volunteering, but the Campus Ministry and Community Service office is responsible for volunteering events, which have been very successful and rewarding for many who participate in them. A very special volunteering opportunity that every student can be involved with at the beginning of the semester is Maryville Reaches Out. It’s a one-day outreach community service project for the entire campus community to volunteer throughout St. Louis and assist others needing help.

The only thing that can even be remotely equal to Greek life is honor societies, which help students become more active in the University scene. Students who are involved with the whole college experience can create their own fun and ask their friends to partake as well. At Maryville, a student doesn't have to be in a fraternity or sorority to truly feel accepted and/ or get involved.
