College Junior

Campus Housing: I haven't been to the residence halls and won't be living on campus.

College Junior

Nightlife: I haven't looked into this and haven't been out at night.

College Junior

Greek Life: I am not part of Greek life and I have no interest in joining.

College Junior

Transportation: It's probably best to take a car. I haven't been to campus or taken public transportation so I can't honestly comment.

Weather: During the summer and fall, the weather can be quite nice. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer. Winters are pretty brutal but if you are used to Michigan weather, then it's nothing out of the ordinary.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I have not looked at this as I will not be living near the campus.

College Junior

Diversity: I have not met other current students at this school.

College Junior

Scholarships: I have not yet dealt with the financial aid process.

Majors: The program is highly recommended by my co-workers. They told me that it was a really good program and they learned a lot from it. As part of the curriculum, the student it to evaluate current teaching methods and then apply new teaching methods. It really helps to not only learn new skills but to take a closer look and receive constructive criticism in order to improve. As for applying, the process is very easy. All you have to do is create a profile online, send your undergraduate transcripts, give your teaching license information and have your principal fill out an "access to classroom" form. There is no fee for the Master's in the Art of Teaching program. It only took a few days to hear back saying that I was accepted.

College Junior

Majors: I am unable to rate this as I have not yet personally been in the program very long. I was recently accepted. The reason I was able to respond to other questions was because I have heard a lot about it from people I know.

Local Atmosphere: The program I am studying, Master's in the Art of Teaching, is highly recommended. I have several co-workers who had received their degree, plus the recipient of the teacher of the year award. The school is located in Detroit and most people are concerned about that. I grew up in the Metro Detroit area, and like all cities, there are good parts and bad parts. One positive note is that it is located fairly close to the freeway which makes it easy to get to.

Academics: Attending marygrove college as a business student is great!!! Different business perspectives are meet, viewed, and experienced with different professors of the business department. Group projects and presentations gathers all students of business to travel though periods of companies, brands, and products. At the end of the day in the business department its all bout fixing and working though problems of the workplace.
