3 College Junior

Greek Life: There isn't a whole lot of pressure to join a sorority or fraternity. Sometimes there will be events hosted or drives. The people in Greek Life are pretty cool and generally don't care if you participate or not. There is also no special housing.

College Junior

Athletics: There is pretty good attendance at home football games but I really don't really go to sporting events that much so I don't want to give a rating for athletics.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is a Waffle House, Hardees, and a Subway off the exit. There are also a couple of restaurants on Main street. There is a really good Pizza place called Papa Nicks and another restaurant called The Cork and Crown. For cheap food Waffle House is always an option and they even have a student discount and your student ID will get you a free cookie at Subway.

Majors: I'm an Art Therapy major. It is a new major that they just started a few years ago. It is a really good idea if you are into psychology and counseling but are also artsy and enjoy making art. There is a lot of hard work involved, but if you like the subjects already it is very rewarding.

College Junior

Majors: I have not had an internship yet.

College Junior

Nightlife: I don't really party a lot. I usually spend nights in my dorm reading or on the internet. Sometimes I hang out with friends in other dorms or Asheville but I usually stay in.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: This school is very expensive, and even though they offer almost everyone scholarships they also raise tuition after each year and don't raise scholarships to go with it. So if you cannot afford it without scholarships you will have to take out more loans each year. And If you ask for help for getting more scholarships they just point you to a few websites and tell you to look to outside scholarships.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It isn't the end of the world if you make a small mistake and usually the Resident staff and professors are understanding. As long as you aren't being stupid and keeping to yourself and you get your classwork done you are going to be alright.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The campus is a little remote but the scenery of the mountains is really beautiful. Also Asheville is a fairly short drive away so there is fun stuff to do if you can get to Asheville.

1 College Sophomore

Nightlife: night life is what you make it. The school does not assist in any nightlife.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Some of the builidngs are not worth the amount you have to pay. Edna has holes in the wall and ceiling of the bathroom. The toilets were white when they were purchased but have turned brown.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The school has a free gym open to all students. They also have three basketball courts and huge field and a vollyball court.

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: It is a prodominantly white school. The second largest group is African Americans after that we have asian. It is hard being a minority at this school.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: If you stay in a bad dorm parking is horrible. you might hit someones car while trying to pull out if someone is speeding down a hill carelessly.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: We have one computer lab if all of the computers are used the libraries servers can't handle them son you have to use your own laptop for midterm and final studying The school works on the wifi at different times sometimes the wifi will go out in certain dorms and then switch.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: When I first came to the school their were plenty of rapes that occurred on campus. The school was on the news because of one rape incidents. Since that year I have not heard of any rape cases however, some students tell me they still hear about some going on.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Security is fine they treat everyone well if you treat them with respect. The school just has strict rules that they have to follow.

2 College Sophomore

Facilities: Most of the facilites are old and it costs more to fix them than to tear them down and make a new building. We have Hephaestus in almost all of the buildings. If we called a health inspector I think the school would be closed for a few months.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Since the campus is so small you know everyone. Most people you stay with will probably become some of your best friends because you will see them all the time. An alumni said that he is still in touch with the friends he made hear but, he does not talk to any of his friends he made at the schools he transferred too.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Living off Campus is great. You can go shopping and you can throw a party without worrying of security is coming. Also the rooms are nicer than the cheap dorms.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: We don't have anything to do but look at the mountains. If you want to have fun you have to make it happen yourself.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The Greeks don't throw many parties on my campus. Also they all have to do community service hopefully with the addition of the Divine Nine the campus will start to liven up.

1 College Sophomore

Transportation: The School provides no transportation for students because it costs to much.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: The teachers for my major are supportive and help me when I need help.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I had to obtain good grades in my English classes. I just had to do my school work.
