3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: i live in my original home cause i commute.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: the best smalltown in Ohio.

4 College Freshman

Academics: great to be on a name basis with the professors.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: im not there much because im a commuter.

3 College Freshman

Weather: we had the first snow-day in the last 12 years.

4 College Freshman

Majors: There is great variety of majors, even though there are a few that kind run the school.

5 College Freshman

Majors: It is a great oppurtunity! Great for internships.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: the variety of off-campus dining is a great. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: sports are fun to watch and everyone attends.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was average since we didn't really go through financial aid with other colleges

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are a few chapters that can be a little overbearing at times, but for the most part everyone is very excepting. I am considering joining and everyone seems to be very friendly.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The rules are very reasonable and they make sure that people are following the rules. If you break the rules, they are very fair with their judicial process.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The only transportation available is campus police. You can call them if you need to and they will drive you where you need to go. It is a small campus so transportation is not really needed.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I honestly have no idea what off campus housing is like.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I love the education department. The professors are really friendly and care about how you are doing. The department can be very unorganized at times though.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: They really make sure that you go into your field prepared for what you are going to be doing.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The people are very friendly but some can be a little bit closed to the idea of diversity.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: This school is very expensive and the tuition continues to increase every year. This has put myself and many others into a financial crisis to the point that we may not be able to return. I feel that there are not many options if you are not receiving help from your parents and are doing this on your own.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are some very good and cute local places that you can go t off campus.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The diversity on campus is pretty good. However, the Marietta area is the second least diverse community in the country and there have been some problems that have arisen as a result.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are very few bars that are available but it is more about the people that you are with. If you find a good group, the night life can be very fun.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love the housing opportunities on campus. I always have enough room (and then some!). It feel very at-home here because the accommodations are excellent and the staff are very helpful.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Students are required to live on campus for eight semesters.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The student body is very accepting, in my opinion, but I don't think the town community is extremely open-minded. Marietta is not a diverse place in general, so some people who grow up here or in West Virginia might not know how to respond to diversity.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The labs are available, but the library closes at midnight, so hopefully you can find another computer after is closes! The network is not that reliable, but it's fast and functional most days. I prefer a personal computer for instant availability 24/7, but I could find a computer for work if I need it. There's really no need for a personal printer unless you really don't want to leave your room.

The Marietta experience is unlike any other. Students are welcomed with open arms and leave with a connection to the College forever. Students generally have nothing but positive feelings toward the school and excitement about the years to come. The intimate relationship students are able to establish with their peers and professors makes a great impact on their drive to do well and succeed at Marietta. The opportunities at this school are so unique yet accessible that students are able to do things they would have never dreamed of doing in a million years, such as studying abroad in New Zealand or doing an internship at Walt Disney World.

Everything students initially expect from Marietta is met and surpassed. Marietta was the first choice for many students here, so nearly everyone is here because they want to. The academics, the town, the campus, and the faculty are highly respected, and it's a great opportunity to be apart of all of it.
