Academics: Graphic design has its pros and cons. There's a lot of individual attention thanks to small class styles, but then again diversity is a good thing for art.

4 College Senior

Academics: I really enjoy the academic side of our school. Small class sizes and focused attention from professors makes learning much easier.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: Greek life isn't overwhelming at school. The lip sync is fun to watch, and sometimes they have good fundraisers, but not overwhelming.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Almost all students are either interested in greek life or athletics. You'll see the greeks dress to pin weekly, but other than that there aren't a ton of preppy kids.

1 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Its hard to tell what off-campus living is really like because it is nearly impossible to actually get approved to live off campus by the school.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I personally feel very safe on campus. The campus police are very personable and nice and the very few times there was a questionable person on campus everyone was notified via email or phone call.

2 College Senior

Campus Dining: We have a couple good places to eat, but when you start going there for every meal, even they get old. The main dining hall is consistently pretty bland with questionable quality of food. The highlight of dining is the Pit Stop where you can buy food with declining balance until midnight.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Student life is great on campus. We have a pretty new rec center, library, and dorm building.

3 College Senior

Facilities: We have a pretty good balance of new and very nice buildings, to new buildings that were put up in a rush, to older historic buildings.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Athletics are a pretty big deal, but Men's basketball seems to be the favorite of the athletic director and fans alike.

3 College Senior

Diversity: This is the least diverse area of the country, but we have pretty good diversity on campus. We get a lot of foreign exchange students from China and Saudi Arabia and most students are fairly accepting.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: i live in my original home cause i commute.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: the best smalltown in Ohio.

4 College Freshman

Academics: great to be on a name basis with the professors.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: im not there much because im a commuter.

3 College Freshman

Weather: we had the first snow-day in the last 12 years.

4 College Freshman

Majors: There is great variety of majors, even though there are a few that kind run the school.

5 College Freshman

Majors: It is a great oppurtunity! Great for internships.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: the variety of off-campus dining is a great. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: It was average since we didn't really go through financial aid with other colleges

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are a few chapters that can be a little overbearing at times, but for the most part everyone is very excepting. I am considering joining and everyone seems to be very friendly.

The Marietta experience is unlike any other. Students are welcomed with open arms and leave with a connection to the College forever. Students generally have nothing but positive feelings toward the school and excitement about the years to come. The intimate relationship students are able to establish with their peers and professors makes a great impact on their drive to do well and succeed at Marietta. The opportunities at this school are so unique yet accessible that students are able to do things they would have never dreamed of doing in a million years, such as studying abroad in New Zealand or doing an internship at Walt Disney World.

Everything students initially expect from Marietta is met and surpassed. Marietta was the first choice for many students here, so nearly everyone is here because they want to. The academics, the town, the campus, and the faculty are highly respected, and it's a great opportunity to be apart of all of it.
