Local Atmosphere: Good proximity to parks, lakes, and great outdoor activities.

Easy to get to Milwaukee. Not much nightlife but students create their own activities and very easy to get to know ther students due to small size of university.

Local Atmosphere: There is nothing to do in this town unless you enjoy going to a bar. Luckily there are a couple of big cities nearby where you can go to have fun, but then you're driving a lot.

Local Atmosphere: Unfortunately, Fond du Lac is a small town that does not provide many different extravagant events around campus. There is not many places to go if you are dying of boredom. Basically the movie theater and the small mall in Fond du Lac are the main attractions for college students like myself.

Local Atmosphere: Small Town Fun – Fond du Lac is a small town where there is not really alot to do. Marian, however, provides discounts at the local theathers on sundays for the students. Marian also holds events everyweek. For example, song writters, poets, and even comedians come in to entertain the public. Also every week Marian holds what they call midnight madness, which is some event for the students. For example, previous midnight madness events have been bingo, game show night, and more. For some it might be too small, but for me it is perfect.

Local Atmosphere: The town of Fond Du Lac is a rather quiet laid back area. There is not that much to do around here except hang out with friends and go to school. But if you play sports it's not that bad, there are many places to go and play sports whether at the school or the many parks around. The ice rink is right around the corner from school and is within walking distance. The YMCA is where you will find a lot of Marian students because they provide a discount to us there. The school itself is a C for safety, yes it is safe but there are some thefts on campus and the school does not seem to put that on their top priority list.
