Diversity: The Marian community is diverse when it comes to ethnicity, but it is mainly White/Caucasian. Most of the people at Marian is Catholic after all that religion was a main way of life at once because the school was founded and directed by nuns. I am a Baptist Christian and they accept me and anybody who claim another way of praise when it comes to God. Most kids are apart of what we like to call middle class families, but there are students such as myself that are apart of the lower class. Political beliefs can become a strong topic for the student and stall community at Marian not only because of social class but by what we choose to believe in. Lastly, I would say that there are a higher percentage of ladies at my school.

Weather: I'm from Wisconsin so the weather conditions for me are normal. People from different states may find it hard to live here because shows you what the difference between each season is without a problem. The Spring is filled with rain with little some heat, the Summer is hot and has lighting speed showers, the fall has a cool breeze with yards filled with color turning leaves and the Winter has a mind of its own. At times it will rain, have bad snowstorms or even freezing days with no snow. Oh, and it doesn't matter how bad the weather is if the walk ways are clear as well as the streets for long enough class and work will still be in session.

Off-Campus Dining: Mostly all restaurants are affordable in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. They have everything from your local and everyday Mcdonald's, Culver's, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. They also have great Italian sit-in places that are amazing. The also have places people a lot people may not have such as the fame founded food joint called A&W which is known for their Root Beer.

Guys & Girls: The guys at Marian are pretty cool. You have a lot of guys from all over the state of Wisconsin as well as from distant lands. Guys have come from places such as Sweden and Canada. Now, when you speak of some hot guys most of them are athletes. Then, you have the young men that aren't necessarily hot when it comes to physical features but their minds are brilliant. They can create all the steam in the world with their way with words for the ladies, answers to questions for professors and ego's unlike any other. The ladies can be known for having their tom boyish ways because most come to Marian for sports. The girls come in all different ways from athletes, know it all's, and cool chicks with one thing in common and that is great work ethic!

Parking: Parking on campus isn't too bad. Parking fees were decent but it would be cheaper to park on the streets throughout the years.

2 College Freshman

Health & Safety: This school is horrible on safety. I fell on my head in the dorm building and got a concussion and nobody knew about it. The school never contacted me after the fact to see if I was okay or anything. Also, the time I smashed my elbow, the hall director flipped out and did not know what to do. I don't feel like they are taking the proper care of their students. The campus security does not report drinking problems at the right times.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The computer lab is usually full and slow. The computers are out dated and take forever to load the class pages were you assess your homework. The wireless connection in my room is horrible. I have no availability or my assess is limited when it is suppose to be supplied for me. I am always having to call I.T. to unlock it for me to use.

1 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: There are drunks everywhere and my school does nothing to ensure there safety. People are getting caught for drinking when they are under control. This prevents me from sleeping and concentrating on homework. Even when people get caught, they have meetings to attend but the school does not follow through with them. For example, they are suppose to get kicked off campus on the second time and they never got a warning. Campus safety should be increased because people are getting in trouble with the cops for drunk driving.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I am happy with my program overall. I would chose it all over again if I had to. My career goal is to start off working at a management firm and then eventually own my own businesses. I am concerned that I might have a hard time finding a job in my field that will properly suit me and my interests.

4 College Junior

Majors: There are multiple opportunities to do internships for local law enforcement. The school is seriously lacking when it comes to helping students find federal internships, which is sad since many people pursuing the bachelors degree or higher are looking for that.

5 College Junior

Majors: Marian University has one of the best Criminal Justice programs in the country and is one of the very few to offer a double-major in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security.

Local Atmosphere: There is nothing to do in this town unless you enjoy going to a bar. Luckily there are a couple of big cities nearby where you can go to have fun, but then you're driving a lot.

4 College Junior

Facilities: There used to be not much offered on campus as far as activities are concerned, but that has improved this semester. There seems to ba a lot more to do. I would still like to see a bigger gym to work with and a bigger selection of equipment.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel as though the campus is pretty safe. There is a very small security team compared to other schools, but they do patrol fairly regularly.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: They are very new. Not many places in the state have housing less than ten years old.

2 College Freshman

Weather: Its extremely cold here, classes are sometimes cancelled but not due to cold whether or snow so far. The best part about living on campus is because all my classes take about 5 minutes to reach. When the weather begins to warm up it can be really pleasant and you meet new people that you didn't have the chance to meet because of the previous weather conditions.

3 College Freshman

Computers: At M.U the computers labs are always accessible to everyone. the main factor in that is because about 85% of students have there own laptops. You will usually see more students in the lab around exam time for studying purposes and to get away from loud noises. The wireless internet here sometimes can be nerve reckoning when you are really trying to get some much needed work done but at other times it has a pretty fast connection. Printing has no limit but you are asked to only print what you need, which is not asking for to much.

5 College Freshman

Academics: At Marian University they have one of the best Nursing programs in the state of Wisconsin. The professors and staff really work hard to help you succeed to the next step in earning your degree. I am a freshmen so I have not gotten into my major studies but my academic adviser has kept me on track and makes sure I am taking all the right approaches towards my degree. The professors are easy going and fair with their workload. We have a lot of Nursing fairs which are available to all majors and a very worth while. If you familiarize yourself with the right people you will find my program enjoyable. The job outlooks are bright also.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Here at Marian University the guys and girls here are amazing for the most part, but there a few that are not use to being around African Americans. So me and my friends sometimes receive dirty looks. However I will not let that get to me and I will succeed at the top of my class. We are a fairly small campus so stuff get around very quickly. Everyone has the own social life and dress codes which makes them all unique and interesting. Ive made new friends this year and I can say that I'm really getting the hang of college!!!

4 College Junior

Athletics: There are sports on campus but they are not really a big deal. If they had a football team I think more people would be interested.

4 College Junior

Computers: The only available computers are in the library and 3 in the cafeteria. When you use your personal computer in your dorm the connection is slow and you constantly have to sign in every few hours.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I give it a B because there is a LOT of underage drinking and marijuana use on campus.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There is of course always some people drinking on campus, as many college students do. However, I don't see a lot of drugs being a huge issue.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The school is very strict. There are constantly RAs roaming the courtyards to see if any suspicious activity is going on. This kills any chance of fun on campus.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: There is not much going on on campus. There are some after school activities, but none that I would be interested in.
