5 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: MBU is a safe environment with no sexual assaults. Our security ensures the safe of campus at all times, and the police in Watertown are very friendly towards us.

5 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: MBU has many scholarships to offer, and accepts many grants too.

5 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: MBU has the best Christian college cafeteria in the states. It is open all day, and has really good food.

5 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: We have no racial discrimination, and we do not practice sexual orientation.

Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: We don't really have greeks.

Majors: I love the music program. We have some of the best professors in the country, and we have some of the best students who graduate with the highest GPAs.

Recent Alumnus

Majors: I have not been an intern.

Nightlife: Our school is not a party school, but our dorms are very fun to hang out in at night. I love my dorm, and we all are close like family.

Academics: MBU has one of the best academic reputations in the country. The academics and workload might be a little harder than some other schools, but we have great teachers willing to give you their time to help you when you need it. We also offer a free learning assistance program if you need help with a hard class.

Academics: Everyone finds a sense of identity with their major, and there are many people in each major.

Overall Experience: MBU has a huge variety of majors, and some of the best professors in the country. I am involved in Bible and music, and the professors in these two departments are wonderful. They take the time to invest in you, making sure that they do their best to help you succeed. They instill lifelong principles that inspire you to go out and learn even more about the class content. MBU strives for excellence.

Overall Experience: MBU is accredited, so getting a degree is definitely worth your time and money. The quality of services is great. Job and internship prospects are great too. Recruiters are always coming to campus, giving us lots of opportunities to see what's available for us.

Guys & Girls: We have a great student body. The students are mostly friendly and really nice to talk to. Most of the guys are very gentlemen, and the girls are mostly nice too. Because we are a Baptist college, most of the students come from Christian families. We have a nice family atmosphere on campus.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: Watertown is not the biggest town, but there are quite a few places to eat at or have coffee that are cheap for college students to afford. There are outlet malls in Johnson Creek not to far away as well, which are fun to go to on weekends sometimes. Also, Madison is only 30-40 minutes away, so some like to take a weekend to go out there too.

Off-Campus Housing: There are many neighborhoods around campus, and I know lots of students who live off campus and are able to live very close to campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: The faculty invest themselves in us and want us all to succeed, meaning they care for us and want us to be able to do our best at school. The rules are set for good reasons.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: Apply to more scholarships than you might think you qualify for, and apply early to institutional scholarships!

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: Although the Dining Hall is more or less the only dining option, it's got a lot of variety to offer. If you're creative and think about all the varieties of foods or ingredients at different stations, you can mix and match or create your own specialties, and even eat fairly healthy.

3 College Senior

Diversity: Since Maranatha is a Baptist university, students generally share the same or very similar religious, political, an ethical principles. Ethnic and racial diversity is broadening as Maranatha's educational programs expand and offer more for international students.

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Watertown is fairly small and quaint, without a lot to do directly in town. However, it's near several great towns and cities. Johnson Creek, 15 minutes away, has a great outlet center and shopping area. The small town of Oconomowoc offers a charming downtown with lots of unique shops and small town restaurants. Both Madison and Milwaukee are just 45 minutes away and have lots of events, culture, shopping, and restaurants to offer.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Although campus is open, we have a good security system and security guards who escort students (especially girls) from main campus back to their cars or dorms.

3 College Senior

Facilities: Campus is pretty nice, and in the late spring and fall everything is beautiful and very green! The café and student centers are great places but the atmosphere could use a boost.

There aren't many campus events/activities apart from ones that student council hosts (or occasional society events), which is a bummer.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Could choose what to be strict about better

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am happy that I will graduate certified to teach with a degree from an accredited school.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Admission was easy - turn in an application and thats pretty much it
