3 College Junior

Weather: It's normally very sporadic weather here, so you get used to the wind one day and snow the next and then sunshine.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I totally understand all the strictness that occurs within the dorms, that's to keep students safe. But our campus security can tend be jerks about parking and "speeding" on campus. Plus we have these horrible speed bumps everywhere on campus that suck.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Lubbock is fun but doing anything outside of campus usually costs money that poor college students do not have.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I appreciate all that the cafe does to feed its students, but I feel like they could do a whole lot more. If they would cook normal meals and make sure everything is cooked thoroughly and fresh, it would be a lot better.

Academics: Personally, I was able to find and excel in my major with no problem. But I do see a need for an expanded arena of sciences, especially engineering and nursing. Fortunately, our school is building new facilities to accommodate to that. It's hard to see students leave after two years since they can't finish their schooling here.

Academics: As previously stated, I have wonderful professors who work hard an are very experienced in their fields of expertise. They enjoy doing lectures and bringing in actual artifacts and taking us on road trips to see historical sites. I went to a missile silo this past April with my Cold War class!

Health & Safety: There could definitely be a lot more done to keep students safe and prevent sexually assault, even if it's only verbal assault.

Off-Campus Dining: I love to eat, and there are so many choices here in Lubbock. I try to not eat out too much, since it can get so expensive, but there is a lot of variety and good food to choose from.

Off-Campus Housing: I just recently moved off campus and I really love it. I live about three blocks away from the school, and have two roommates who I go to school with. Rent is usually pretty easy, since I have an on campus job that helps pay for it. The freedom of being off campus is the best part.

Majors: I absolutely love my major. The department I am in is wonderful, and has great professors. They teach not only the normal stuff you hear, but also the little details about history that no one talks about. They are also tough with you so they know that you're working hard and actually learning.

College Junior

Majors: I plan to have an internship in Washington D.C next summer, where I will hopefully be working in a museum of some sort.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: This school is very strict on it's alcohol policy. Even if you're of age, you are not supposed to have it on campus. I appreciate that they are trying to keep students safe.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Athletics isn't something I'm very involved with here at school, mainly because it's a time consuming activity. I know we have wonderful coaches and stupendous athletes, it's just not something I'm involved with.

3 College Junior

Diversity: This is a Christian University, so having anything outside of the Conservative Church of Christ views isn't necessarily okay. They appreciate students for who they are, but also condone their beliefs at times too. And women don't always have the same role as men do in this university. I believe it is something that is going on, but that we still have wonderful leadership.

4 College Junior

Computers: I work for technology at school so I am very biased in this matter. I believe we work as hard as possible to provide a good network and technology environment for the students.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Although it is far from perfect, I really do love my school and the people here. You build wonderful relationships, so it makes the little things seem unimportant and you focus on those relationships.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Living on campus was a good experience, but there are a few things that should be fixed, such as the parking lots and washers/dryers within the dorms.

Majors: I' am excited about my program. I would do it all over again. My goals is to first graduate and then be prepare for my career. My biggest goal is to be successful and hopefully one day I will began my own business. I do have some concerns about finding a job in my field. There tons of graduates that can't find a job so that a big fear for me even though Business administration is one of the most popular job right now.

3 College Junior

Majors: It has been a difficult journey for me. Its hard because I go to school, play soccer, and work. Its a bit of a challenge but I' m getting though it. Business administration is a difficult career, it requires many criteria for one to have. It requires hard work along the road but once its done it will be worth it.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere was great. All the students were attracted to activities, cultural events, and sports. Once the students were finish with classes they would do shopping as well. Everything was great, everybody was attracted to so many activities. One of the things I like about the school was the atmosphere.

Athletics: The athletics at the school are great. I'm an athlete and a part of the sports involve in the school. Soccer and basketball were popular sports in the school and they were student involvement along with school spirit. There want anything that affected the athletics scene. It was nice having fan support to represent the school.

Off-Campus Housing: The off- campus selection at my school is great. Everything is great about it, its close to school, parking is great, safety is great, cost, etc. Everything is great mostly because the off-campus housing are very close to the school. This is very helpful for a student in many ways. There is nothing bad about the off-campus, everything is perfect in my opinion.

Academics: My major is Business administration. Its great having this major at this school having opportunities to learn more of my major. It contains internships and programs so I can be well prepare. Business administrations is an excellence career for me. They are many job opportunities after I graduate for Business administration. My major consist of working with people, organizing, being the team leader, and to target all goals. Some characteristics to help me ensure in Business administration is to have communication skills, leadership, multi-tasking, flexible, etc. Business administration is huge goal for me and a major that I will enjoy throughout my life.
