3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The dorms are all pretty nice, but the lottery is kind of unfair.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I lived in a double suite, which is two room's connected by a bathroom. The idea is to create a friendly atmosphere with your "suitemates." There wasn't an abundance of space, but there was an adequate amount for two people to live comfortably. There was an easy, friendly, neighborly feel about the building which provided a good living situation. Other than this there were other dorms which were only one-room with two beds and the floor shared a communal bathroom. Other halls were suites and apartments, which upperclassmen use most of the time. There is more space, and there is a sitting room, and a full kitchen. Much more convenient and the students are much more independent in that, they can cook and clean for themselves.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Living on campus is a great experience. You meet a lot of people in dorms and make a lot of new friends. The dorms were nice so we can hang out in each others rooms a lot.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are some of the best in the country, and Loyola really prides itself on that. All of the dorms are very nice and clean and most are relatively new (with the exception of Flannery O'Connor which is BRAND new). Things are changing, but as of now, first-year students were allowed to have very nice apartments, which is very unusual and cool in comparison to freshman at other universities, who often live in cramped doubles in a huge hallway full of people.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: All dorms have kitchens, except for freshmen housing. The dorms are very big and very homey.

Loyola is praised for its dorm-like palaces—all dorms have wall-to-wall carpeting, controllable air conditioning and heat, and Internet access for students who bring their own computers.

For at least three out of four of your years at Loyola (more if you're lucky), you will be living in a suite or apartment. These units have large closets—some even have walk-ins. They also have walk-in pantries, a dining room, living room, between one and four bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, and refrigerator.
