4 College Sophomore

Computers: There are a lot of different options for computer use around school. You can use desktops at the IC, rent out laptops at the IC, or if you have your own computer it is also very helpful

Computers: Everything is up to date and pretty high tech. The wireless access is great and there are many computers, laptops, and ipads available for students to use.

5 College Freshman

Computers: There are computers everywhere. There are printers everywhere and you can pick up the wifi from every spot on campus. Everyone has their own computer, but they wouldn't necessarily have to with the amount of computers the school has.

Computers: I feel like there should be more laptops and desktops available for students. Network ccan sometimes be lost/disconnected on campus or while walking from one building to another. Connection may also die in lower levels of buildings or in hallways.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

What may have been a problem for Loyola a few years ago has turned into one of the better aspects of the school. With the construction of the Information Commons, Loyola has taken its technologically-backward reputation and become a true 21st century university. There are multiple computer labs across campus, all computers are tethered to a single network, and students can effectively print from their computer in their dorm room into any print station on campus. While the University is predominantly Windows-based, there are several Apple labs, and students are able to use their universal log-in across the network. Most of the computers on campus come equipped with the most basic software (i.e., Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office), but it is not impossible to find computers installed with any number of advanced programs, depending on the task.
