Career Services: I have never used these services.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office workers do not always know rules, regulations, deadlines, etc. I always get different information from different people.

Academic Flexibility: The class times are not very flexible.

Campus Resources: Library is good. student center is good, but needs more couches haha. Parking is awesul to try to find and lighting at night-- is lacking. f

Student Body: lots of out spoken people in out community college, but diversity seems to be lacking. in our area we dont have a lot of minorities though

Overall Experience: Its a long drive for a hour.

3 College Senior

Student Body: The people I'm around are nice.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I lost money by switching colleges.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My class is day week so its nothing that gets in the middle of anything.

3 College Senior

Facilities: Some of the classes are smaller than others so you can get one on one with the teacher when you need help.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I spend a lot of my time outside of class in the library or student center. The computers available in the library are easy to access and really useful for getting homework done in between classes. The student center is a great place to relax, grab a bite to eat, and chat with your friends. After a long day of class, I love to have the option of just relaxing and talking, or watching a little tv.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The computers are easy to get to, and printing is easy! Each page is $0.05, which seems like a fair deal when each student is credited $3.75 at the start of the quarter. There is also free wifi, and the password is printed right on the student orientation sheet.

Overall Experience: I would definitely choose LCC if I had to do it all over again! The campus and people are very accepting and fun to be around. The campus is always alive with energy. I love to sit in the Devil's Den and watch the people laughing with each other. If I had gone straight on to a 4-year school, I think I would have been lost and lonely. LCC is close to home and feels like less of a giant leap into the real, wide world.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office was very helpful. I didn't know what my first step toward getting aid should be, so I went to the office and they walked me through all that I needed to do. My Pell Grant pays for all of my tuition and fees every quarter, plus covers most or all of the cost of my books.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: My classes have, so far, been all together during the day, leaving me plenty of time to schedule my life around school.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I'm majoring in Psychology, and at LCC there aren't a whole lot of Psychology courses to take. There are other options, such as sociology or anthropology, that could be related to a psychology major.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: My psychology professor, Michael Strayer, is the greatest professor I've had at LCC. He's engaging and funny, and makes learning a really great experience. The registration process is easy and painless, and the workload isn't too hard.

College Junior

Career Services: Although I haven't personally used the career center at LCC, I know a few people who have, and they've all had excellent experiences.

4 College Junior

Student Body: There is a lot of diversity at LCC. People of all ages and ethnic groups come together on campus. In one class I've seen 16-year-olds working on a project with 40-year-olds. Everyone is very accepting and willing to work together.

Facilities: Lower Columbia College is an awesome school! The classes are fun and engaging, and the campus is big enough to have everything one would need, but small enough to feel like home. I always find someone to talk to in the student center, and the food served is amazing. All of my teachers are engaging and treat me like a person, not just another face in the crowd.

Career Services: With the Early Childhood Education field there are many things that you can do and continue on to do depending on how far you want to go and at what age limit you want to stop. Kids now and days are smarter and smarter so the government wants them to start learning things from an earlier age. This is why you need to further your academic career when it comes to school. Even to become a head start teacher you need to have a bachelors degree and at LCC I am blessed to have all of the transfer options available to me when I need them. I can go however far I want to go. They even let you work in the school as a teachers aid or as a teacher depending how well you do. LCC is there for you every step of the way.
