3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The scholarships I am currently on are from my TOPS achievements. My grades luckily got me a lot of the money I needed to cover my first year of school so far. However, my soccer scholarship only covers my textbooks and I'm still having to pay about $3,000 a quarter (as LaTech is on the quarter system rather than a semester system).

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I don't qualify for really any type of financial aid because of my financial standing with my parents. So there were no scholarships offered to me because I look like I already well-off.

Scholarships: I have most of my schooling paid for thanks to TOPS and La tech.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial aid is amazing when you get it. Dealing with the financial aid office is a complete headache though. My advice is to take care of financial aid as soon as you can. The earlier, the better. There are also more funds available to those who apply and complete their financial aid early. Do not leave your financial aid at liberty of the financial aid office or you will not receive aid. If you think there might be a problem, take care of it. Call the office or go in for a visit and get things done then and there. If you do not get on top of things and take control of your financial aid then do not plan on receiving financial aid for the year.
